I think Floyd would win also, if you think about it Oscar only beat one top guy of that area and that was Mosley with them splitting victories he beat Vargas after Trinidad had already ruined him so he don't get much credit from me for that fight, this what I think people miss understand is when Floyd fought Oscar it was his first time fighting in the 154s I think Floyd was a little bit cautious of Oscar so he didn't do a lot of what he could've done I think this older Floyd would destroy that version of Oscar and win a UD against a prime Oscar just my opinion so Floyd hatters don't shyt on me lol

yes, based on styles and mayweathers ability to adjust and take away the jab. Oscar will always win a decent amount of rounds with mayweather because anybody with some speed, a good jab and good boxing ability will be able to win some rounds with mayweather. Roach did his work and really tightened up DLH's defense for their fight. But mayweather with his ability to adjust and his stamina and concentration in the late rounds beats DLH..... HOWEVER, that doesnt mean DLH wouldnt get a decision in a close fight. Last time he got 1 vote and I had that about 8-4 in favor of PBF. I could see DLH getting a decision in a close fight.

The Mayweather from last night beats any version of Oscar De la Hoya. Everyone keep going back to the 2007 fight. That was Mayweather's first fight on such a big stage. He was tentative for the first 5 or 6 rounds but clearly swept rounds 7-12. Neither fighter did much in the first half of the fight so those rounds could have gone either way. I personally think Mayweather won some of those round but not by much. If prime Oscar fought a green Mayweather he might have beat him but not this version.

Floyd wins. Simply because he is the better fighter. It may be very close. Oscars speed and jab would give Floyd trouble here and there, but one thing with Floyd, he always adapts and is very versatile. He can do more and move better than Oscar.

Yes, based purely on styles. Oscar would still be the same fighter going into the ring, and I'm assuming the fight would be at 147, I'd give Floyd an even bigger edge. I've come to the realization that everytime you go to the body, Floyd hits you really hard in the head, then you get hesitant in going to the body. Floyd is a hard ass code to unlock. Only guys like SRL/Hearns could possibly beat him. Or skilled pressure. That's what has usually given him his toughest fights.

Polls like this are never going to be objective the day after a fight. I think Mayweather should be favored over prime Oscar. Even that Mayweather.
