He put on a masterful performance last night dominated the fight yet receives ZERO credit because he decided that he needed to put in some silly catchweight because he was scared of Canelo.
This thread is not about the fight its about Floyd's legacy so please do not delete or move the thread
because he said it before, he cares only about winning easy fights for big money
look at his last 3 fights, you got clowns running around saying he is this and that by being a 2 lineal champ, the whole world knows golden boy run ring, they also dictate rankings with organisations
lineal rankings are guys who are universally considered the best guys, its a joke these days, cotto was not the best at 154, not even close, he was over the hill after pac
guerrero lol, he is not even a top 5 ww, the guy beat berto ffs lol who is c class himself, guerrero will not even go down as a top 100 ww in history, so how can that be considered a good win?
ortiz, he will not go down as a top ww, cotto will not go down as a top jmw, who hs he beaten?
floyd stans love to change history as does floyd to make his weak resume look good when they all know when his division was at its best, when guys like margo, cotto and williams were in their prime, floyd ducked them by retiring
he also ducked a prime mosley to avoid losing
lets not forget the 100 excuses not to fight pac which included he is going on vacation (despite him saying yesterday he hs not been on one for 5 years lol)
then we have canelo, he killed him on the scales, canelo threw very little for this reason in the first 6 rounds
floyd will go down as a massive talent but a cherry picker

you holding on too tightly to the whole catch weight thing. fact remains Alvarez outweighed Mayweather by 15 pounds last night and it still wasn't enough, he made the weight just fine and did not have to kill himself to do it. his opponent was definitely comfortable as he says he likes for them to be, there was no issue here except that Canelo is not the better fighter no matter what the weight is.
Of course it does.
But hey lets keep talking about Mayweather at WW to deter off topic of Floyd's last legit JMW fight was at CW while Pac's last legit WW fight was at a CW.
Anyway did you come up with that name of the last WW fighter Pac fought who had been winning going into the fight? aka a small taste of the criteria from a possible top WW fighter. I find it easier to call a "top fighter", an actual top fighter because he wins fights.
So again, who was the last WW "top fighter" winning WW fights going into the WW fight with Pac?
Dude what is unclear? Clottey and that Mosley are more legit than any welter Floyd has fought since Baldo lol, other than near shot Mosley. So don't give me that sob story about haters putting down Floyd's resume. YOUR criteria makes it look pathetic
What is this "credit" you are talking about? He doesn't need your "credit," the won the fight. If Canelo couldn't compete at 152 he shouldnt have agreed to fight Mayweather at 152.
Same goes for Cotto vs Pacquiao.
Sames goes for Dawson vs Ward.
All you butthurt fans crying about catchweights need to go home and suck on your mothers tits. If a fight happens, it means two parties agreed upon the terms and neither fighter needs fans to make any excuses for them. If you want to entertain hypotheticals all day, go play fantasy football or some ****.
I'm questioning your criteria for what's legit, since if you stick to it Floyd's welter resume looks pathetic.
Of course it does.
It's easy to sh*t on his resume. He's just that good. No matter who he fights at 154 and below people are going to say they are not good enough. No matter who it is. Whether that is a #1 guy or a #10 guy.

Deterring again.
and you know I'm right which is why you won't give an answer. lol
That's what they do because they are so full of sht , Floyd don't get credit for a white wash like what went down and Mannys biggest wins are CWs and Floyd beat better versions of the same guys without a CW , these hating stooges are off in the head .
Bottom line Floyd is a class above any version of Manny , Floyd would punk him making him look C grade , Im over Manny and his idiot fans , the dude has been beaten and stopped by guys Floyd schools and now fighting B graders for fck sake .
Deterring again.

Good try. According to your criteria, a near shot Mosley is the only legit welter Floyd has fought since Baldomir.
Deterring again.

Pac did not fight Baldomir. Try again.

You are deterring again.
I pointed out that Pac's last legit WW win was vs Cotto at catchweight and Floyd's last legit JMW fight was at a catchweight yet you keep on talking about Floyd at WW?
Tell me the last time Pac fought a WW that had a title.
No, I'll make it really easy, tell me the name of the last fighter Pac fought who was fighting at WW and was actually winning going into that fight?
Thanks, I'll take Baldomir as your answer :lol1:
Well I didn't quote or respond to you.
I don't even know what "your point" is I haven't read any of your posts in this thread.
Someone said Pacquaio hadn't fought at 147 before Cotto. That's false.
Fair enough, I took your statement out of context
Ok spare me the crying. Just tell me, other than Mosley (who'd go shot in a matter of months), who's the last LEGIT welter Floyd faced? Was it Baldomir?

Flo mos: "It's the intent that counts"
Maybe some other point is moot, not mine: guys ask for CWs moving up all the time, champs very rarely do. I mean, if he decides to defend his lineal title, can we assume it'll be at 154?

Actually what I said was, Pac's last legit WW win was vs Cotto at a catchweight. Floyd's last JMW win was vs Alvarez at a catchweight. As you clearly keep avoiding, the cats in here are bashing Pac's last legit WW win by trying to bash Floyd. Its not working.
As far as Mayweather at WW?
Ok spare me the crying. Just tell me, other than Mosley (who'd go shot in a matter of months), who's the last LEGIT welter Floyd faced? Was it Baldomir?
It's irrelevant.
He'd still fought at 147 before the Cotto fight so the point is moot.

So you're saying Floyd has 1 legit welter win since remind me when? Baldomir?

The CW had nothing to do with the outcome in Floyd Canelo or Pac Cotto, but Pac got 3 years of abuse for it so you'll understand why Floyd is not off the hook.
But it's not a good parallel. DLH didn't carry any welter credentials, and Pac had no intention of going up to welter before Oscar tried to cherrypick him. He certainly wasn't a welter champ, much less 2x champ, when he asked for the CW from Cotto.
It's irrelevant.
He'd still fought at 147 before the Cotto fight so the point is moot.

I dont think he was scared of Canelo, but i agree that he always finds a way to give his critics ammunition.
Uusally its with the nonsense he says, but also, sometimes with his choice of opponents and now with this catchweight.
I think he was amazing last night, and the weight didnt make any difference, but if he moans about criticism, he only has himself to blame.
