This is the honest truth to me. Why does Broner get easy fights against guys like Paulie and Maidana while Garcia gets fed to Mayweather in his first fight at the weight?
He showed he has tremendous upside potential, he's building a fanbase, has plenty of momentum and a 119-109 schooling at the hands of Mayweather would damage all of that.
Some fighters bounce back from bad losses while others lose their confidence and never get back on track.
Exactly. I don't get why people don't like the devon fight. Devon has good speed throws in combination and can punch too he also has good feet. Would be very interesting to me and devon also has a belt and some good wins at 147.
To me Thurman is thee single most dangerous fighter at welterweight. Including Garcia landing there.
That's the one guy I don't want swift to fight right away at 147 other than Floyd. Let swift get soto Karass for his 147 debut.

Disagree. Average boxing skills with power=thurman
And if Alexander loses?
Ugh khan would make sense money wise and he has a very delusional fan base that would hype him up enough to make the fight sell, but Floyd would break him down and stop khan around the 10th round. Maidana-broner winner would be the next best option but if broner wins I doubt Floyd fights him.do you think Floyd would fight Lara at 154? Or do you think he's done with that weight class?
This would be a cherry pick IMO. Danny hasn't even had a fight at 147 yet. Let devon get the shot after he beats khan. Danny is only 25 and still developing. Mayweather would be too much too soon, devon would be a better test at this point. Let danny get his feet wet at 147.

It's the obvious and best fight next.
Garcia is likely to enter the P4P list and rightfully so.
It's the fight I want to see next.
No Dan not yet at least let danny get his feet wet at 147. Mayweather has too much speed. Devon would be more interesting than danny right now, devon is in his prime and has a strap.let danny fight him at fight #5.

Way too soon for him
I don't want to see it, he needs a win at 147 first over a credible opponent, Yes he did his thing at 140, but Lucas and Zab are not 147 boxers
Garcia vs The Ghost would be a good fight, we can see him handle one of Floyds recent opponents
I think what you're saying makes sense, but I don't think it's going to make a difference. I'd personally expect Garcia to beat Guerrero, but if he does, and in convincing fashion, then what? It's not going to mean that Garcia has a better shot against Floyd.
Floyd's challenge now is that he proved to the casual fans that he's the best. To these fans, Canelo was seen as the most likely candidate to hand Mayweather his first loss. Canelo is young, strong, physically bigger than Floyd, and, in the eyes of some, a smarter and better skilled fighter than past Floyd opponents. And it didn't make an ounce of difference.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand you have a fighter that deserves the fight. But this deserving fighter won't win a single round.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts. Plus, I'd like to see him have a fight @147 first
Garcia has yet to fight at 147 and people think he should get a shot at Floyd? Haven't we seen this story too many times to fall for it again?
Now if at least I saw Garcia pulling it off but I don't. Garcia is a counter puncher that waits for his opponents to throw a couple just so he can get his one good shot. Floyd will not fight on the inside for one and secondly he will be pot shotting Garcia and pulling out before Garcia has a chance to pull the trigger.
Khan got hit against Garcia because he was too busy throwing a 3 punch combination. Floyd will not wait on the inside to finish a 3 punch combo. It will be 1 pot shot and out, all night long.
Honestly there is no one left
This..... there is no one left for Floyd. The one fighter I can see coming close to challenging Floyd, he'll never fight. That's Adrian Broner.
Garcia deserves that lottery ticket the most out of Khan/Alexander/Mattyse/Broner etc. of the few options for Floyd left. But i feel he's still 2 fights away from being built as a PPV side against Floyd
There's really no one left for Floyd to fight, those young guys are not deserving of a PPV fight like that.
Pacquioa/Martinez both earned that fight against him long time ago, but too much bs going on
