I really like Danny but how is he going to lay a glove on Floyd , he is 2 yrs away from being a legit Floyd fight , but it seems that fighters have nothing to lose getting schooled by Floyd , so why not take a shot if it comes by its their biggest payday , they all expected to lose anyway . Yeah its kind of unfortunate. He's got heavy momentum right now and I think looking bad in front of millions will kill it.

You will have that issue after he gets schooled by Floyd regardless. lol This seems rushed. Broner got a million dollar tuneup against Paulie at 147. While Broner is being protected and getting big money for easy fights, Garcia is being fed to the wolves. It would be nice if he could fight the Khan/Alexander winner but the problem is Floyd needs a May opponent. Yeah, exactly the timing doesn't work. It's either Garcia or Khan-Alexander winner in May.

I think he should fight Alexander if he beats Khan. Or he could fight Brook for a decent sum of money. That would be good but Floyd needs an opponent for May and Alexander and Khan are fighting in December so there's no time. Floyd's fighting either Garcia or the Alexander-Khan winner next May.

I think Floyd would cruise to an even easier shutout UD. Two counter punchers, yeesh. If anything though Garcia should fight Broner before Floyd

I think if Angel puts in work and they constantly replay Garcia knocking out Khan and Morales and the Lucas "New Pacquaio" Matthysse highlights it will be decent numbers.

garcia floyd wouldnt be as big as everyone thinks, garcia has gotten better since but he struggled with molares the first time and judah and khan had there moments until the big shots landed floyd could out box him with ease i would not be hyped to see it at all but lets see how they both do this weekend

If Garcia did so happen to beat matyhesse what does he do next ? Who's left in 140? Does he go to 147? Does he look at broner? Or does he take on Floyd if Floyd beats Canelo ? Could that ppv even break 800k buys ? I can imagine angel being great for promo but does garcia have any type of main event 75$ ppv appeal ? I can't imagine Where does he hold? Maybe. He wouldn't have anyone to fight at 140 as most of the guys are out of contention or with Arum.

It depends on how he wins, but if Garcia (or Matthysse) wins in exciting fashion, you can bet there will be demand to see him as a future Mayweather opponent. To be honest, between the two I think Matthysse wold make for the better sell; Garcia is a counterpuncher and so is Floyd so their styles matchup wouldn't be that compelling on paper, whereas Matthysse is a come-forward guy with power who you could absolutely sell as a threat to Floyd. Aside from that, after clearing out 140, moving up in weight is the natural next step for the winner of this fight. There will be plenty of fights for the winner (and loser) to make at 147 with Golden Boy's roster.
