I really don't see the issue with Obama carrying Floyds belts if he fought Pacquiao. Floyd is one of Americas biggest athletes, and the President is allowed to like sports. It would be funny as hell.
Shit, George Bush Jr said "Everybody wants Pacquiao, not Mayweather." back when it was Pacmania around here.
Let Bush walk to the ring with Pacquiao and Obama walk to the ring with Mayweather. Nelson Mandela can be ring announcer. Shit would be incredible.
What is wrong with Floyd saying he wanted Obama to carry his belts to the ring with him?
That would be ****ing badass.
That would be making a statement but with with all that is going on it would make Obama look really bad
Floyd always has been and always will be! Oscar is better looking more loved, most of the ladies still want him! Plus the cherry on top is oscars net worth is $175 mil and Floyd's is at $170! Oscar is not fighting anymore and is still worth more. In 5 years Oscar will have doubled his net worth while poor Floyd will be worth a lot less. That being said Floyd had done great just not as good as Oscar.QUOTE]
Explain please...
Floyd has made and is making his money but I guarantee that 5 years after he retires his net worth is going to drop significantly where oscars will continue to grow. Bottom line Floyd only has a big net worth because he is still fighting and guaranteed $40 mil. Once he retires he won't have that income where Oscar has great investments and his huge promotional company that is a real promotional company unlike Floyd's
Of course it isn't a joke. We'll see when Floyd's career is over. I'll bet all of my points that Oscar's place in history will be higher. Legacy is based on who you fought and when you fought them. How often were you challenged in the ring and over-came those challenges. A fighters place in history is determined by level of opposition faced, not accusations and ego. I speak with my head, not my heart and always give an honest point of view not a bogus one. You may not ever agree with me, but you will respect my boxing knowledge.
floyd beat ODH, has won 4 lineal titles, and beaten plenty of world champs. odh arguably lost to felix sturm.ODH fought a lot of tough fights, including Tito where he ran away from a sure win. Or did you forget that?
I may not like ODH but he is a 1st ballot hof'er for sure. bu lets not put him up there with floyd.

What you just said is pointless and moot. Oscar was too busy fighting the best at that time and Floyd just wanted a payday. What you really should be talking about is WHY he wanted this fight against Canelo at 152lbs? Or WHY he ducked Manny but fought the likes of The Ghost, Ortiz, old Mosley, Under-sized Marquez. I could keep going but I'll stop there. He's an insecure bully who only takes fights he knows he can win. The only reason he fought Cotto is because Cotto is the 3rd biggest draw in the sport and he thought he was going to beat the hell out of him. Boy was he surprised! He thought Cotto was washed up man. He thinks Canelo is nothing more than a flat-footed brute who can't think with him in the ring. He's wrong again. He's a great fighter and I give him credit for just that, BUT he doesn't challenge himself to match his in ring abilities. He's the REAL conman in boxing while he's always trying to point out other fighter's flaws.
ODH arguably lost to Sweet Pea, thats more likely the reason he wouldn't fight floyd.
Uhh he wanted it for advantage, same resason every top earner has a CW.
Manny turned fight down in 09. Hate floyd all you ant, just be honest.
So he beat a tough version of Cotto. ok.
Don't be a revisionist. Every fiht where he was supposed to be challenged tough he stepped up and won. Yet you are not adult enough to give him credit for it. Sad.
What you think?

I concur. Floyd is jealous of Oscar because he isn't respected the way Oscar is. Truth is, when it's all said and done, Oscar's place in boxing history will remain higher because of how brave he was in fighting the best. The man simply fought EVERYONE in his era except Forrest and Wright and both of those fights almost happened. Oscar layed the blueprint for fighters to start their own promotional companies and triple their bank accounts. It's because of Oscar that Floyd has his own company, Manny has his own company, Cotto has his own company, Mosley has his own company, etc. He is the reason why Floyd chooses the size of the ring, what ounce gloves, and who walks to the ring last. Smh. People REALLY believe the hype that this man puts out. The 154lb version of Oscar that Floyd Sr. trained, would outpoint Floyd any day of the week. As a matter of fact, Floyd wouldn't have fought that Oscar like he wouldn't fight Manny. I hope Canelo isn't drained, which I think he will be based on his 7 day weight, so he can give Jr. a beating!
if odh though he could've beaten floyd he would have accepted floyd's challenge when he was younger. He's just better than ODH even ODH knows this.
I feel for you Oscar, real talk I been critical on him over the years but I respect him 100% and overall genuinely like him. I just completed a full year with zero alcohol, not even 1 beer, and I used to drink like 7 40oz.'s of Olde Gold daily for years, I used to get drunk literally all day everyday at one point I was just hooked to that fast lane thought frame, I saw that I had to change though and I did but it took a couple years of quitting then relapsing then quitting then relapsing again and so on but last year I just said **** this I'm done.
I was tired of not being in full control of my conscious and doing things I know I wouldn't do while sober hence the "what the **** was I thinking?" feeling the next morning. to this day I still feel strong urges to drink but I be fighting it, I could understand though a guy like Oscar or any guy who can't resist it or is having trouble with it because believe me when I tell you in the first 8-12 months it ain't easy.
I hear ya. Addictions are no joke, and especially when you have all the money and time Oscar has. Oscar is good for the sport and a first ballot HOF'er and a Boxing Legend, and frankly, he carried the PPV scene in Boxing for years before Floyd and Manny came along...and those two got as big as they did because they fought Oscar.
Oscar says some dumb shidt a lot of times, but Oscar, if you or any of your peeps are reading this...thank you! Because of you, Boxing has survived and Golden Boy and Richard Shaefer are doing it right and putting on some great fights we all want to see.
Golden Boy > Top Rank in a landslide.
I concur.

No way Obama would want to be seen with a guy that just recently went to jail for domestic violence against a women and two children. Not a good look for a married politician with 2 daughters.
Its the same reason fellow politicians like Pacquiao get invited to the white house while people like Floyd Obama wants nothing to do with.
We're clowning, bro. But if my memory serves me correctly, didn't they cancel Pac's WH visit, or at least they opted not to do a photo op with Pac...and imo, it's probably because they didn't want to have the Prez of the US in the same photo as an alleged Steriod cheat and adulterer before this last election...but that's speculative I know...but plausible, imo.
Did I not say I thought Obama said he'd walk Floyd in JEST?
And Obama and his wife seem to enjoy hanging out with celebrities, so yes, I do think he gives a phuck about what Mayweather may or may not think, along with Jay Z, Beyonce, and the rest of Hollywood.
And you got it wrong about Obama and Broner and what not. I would envision Obama walking Oscar on a leash and collar in front of Floyd, throwing American Tax dollars into the crowd while Pink Floyd's "Money" was blasting....

Oooh that's a nice visual. You forgot to mention Oscar would be in fishnets.
I'm not trying to swing low..hahah
I'm really not, I have said on record many times I think Mayweather is one of the greatest fighters I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. I just thought the whole thing was ridiculous. He's an ego maniac and I could care less what he says about Oscar.
So meeting the president means you are now his friend? LOl man you are gullible. Many people meet the president and Floyd will NEVER have Obama in his corner, a president would never lower himself to hold anything for anyone.
He is the president of the most powerful country in the world and the last thing he cares about is being cool with Floyd Mayweather. I can see it now, Obama will be Broners hype man as he raps while Floyd walks to the ring......
Grow up.

we can agree floyd is an egomaniac.
FWIW, you forget that candidate Obama reached out to many black athletes and entetainers when he was raising money for his presidential campaigns. I dont think he and floyd are friends in the classic sense (imagine floyd at Harvard or Obama at a ghetto strip club), but floyd is a multi millionaire high profile african american who is managed by Al Haymon who may or may not be a "bundler"
for Obama. I'm sure Obama reached out to him for some campaign financing.
