...If Canelo decided to talk some trash. If I was advising him, I would tell Canelo to dedicate this upcoming fight to all the battered women in abusive relationships. He should label Floyd a coward for demanding a catchweight and beating women up in front of his own kids. No cursing or racist comments would be necessary, just facts, that way Canelo gets to maintain his "good guy" promotion.
Remember when Ruben Geurrero blew up at the last press conference and called Floyd a wife-beater? GBP and Showtime tried to keep it under wraps, even though it could potentially have made the fight bigger. Was that the CBS influence? Or Mayweather's influence? Or GBP's influence since they're basically riding Maywether's fame for PPVs?
I honestly feel this fight won't break the PPV record without Canelo talking. Floyd talking is to be expected and is now boring and redundant. Even if Canelo doesn't get dirty he should at least say something more than just "I'm training very hard". He needs something that will perk interest in the casual fan and make his own fanbase get HYPED!
Personally I feel the fight is a mismatch. Canelo is built-up hype.
Which is why Floyd carries all the episodes, including the promotional tour interviews. I think the only personality who stood out during past promo tours was Ricky Hatton. He had people believing he could end Floyd's reign.
Money is a one man show.
.
it's not his style ... he could just hire danny garcia's dad or something though and have him hang around camp for an episode of all access spouting his mouth about how I dunno mayweather likes banging Justin Bieber or something or how he has a tape of Elerbie/floyd's dad slagging off floyd or whatever
