I just rewatched his fight with Austin Trout, he looked very good, in terms of acquiring new skills like his new found head movement. But i noticed that after about 6 rounds Canelo was getting hit with some good shots by Trout. He was resting since round 2 of that fight. And i also noticed that when hes tired, he turns into a below average "power counter puncher" . It's sort of like his skills go out of the window. But i thought Oscar put him in with the best too early, but now i know it, Canelo lost that Trout fight to me.
Moving foward .
I have reason to believe that Canelo may have a weak chin. He was hurt by lightweight Jose Miguel Cotto . He can be hurt.
i think Floyd will TKO him in 11.
Well broner had the footspeed to keep up with paulie. Canelo doesn't it will look worse than that mate.
broner's footspeed? is that when he was almost dragging his backfoot?
I think it's more of the mentality thing. Floyd has enough pop in his hands to KO/TKO a top WW (maybe not a JMW) but he doesn't seem to have that killer instinct, or any interest at all for that matter, to finish off his opponents. He seems content with letting fights go to the cards.
he does but he doesn't really commit to his punches with full power because of his defensive style. there's a tendency when you throw a punch with full power you might overcommit and lunge your body forward that could get you countered. with floyd, he pulls his punches back a little bit so he could move back easily when he wants to.
who doesn't get befuddled with movements?
a feather-fisted malignaggi give broner problems with his movements.
even floyd, give him an opponent who can really move well and he'll have problems too:twak:

I dont think Mayweather can legitimately KO any top Welterweight, nvm a Junior Middleweight. He just don't have that type of power, nor the mentality to go for it

I agree Floyd could TKO Canelo but he won't. Floyd is like the lions on the nature channel. Once another lion becomes submissive, no need to take them out, let them live in shame knowing that your are king of the jungle.
I for one think Canelo is very befuddled with movement. He struggles to land any meaningful punches whilst his opponents are moving. Most of his damage is done when his opponent is relatively stationary.

Stop making these threads, Floyd is not going to KO many elite fighters anymore, and Canelos structure, even if he is gassed, won't allow him to get hurt, he is very stocky, tucks his chin and tightens up properly.
Just please stop trying to claim Floyd will KO him, in no dimension would that ever occur. Mayweather does not have the killer instinct either to score a TKO, he never throws more than 5 punches consectuively, and you ain't getting a TKO on a guy like Canelo unless you hit him with 20+ punches on the ropes in one go.
it
is
not
gonna
happen

Damn, Canelo should have won an Oscar. He has everyone fooled from the Trout fight into thinking he has the worst stamina in all of sports. I'm telling you cats, dude had a plan. Keep a low output, do just enough to win rounds, and don't look overly dominant in order to secure a Floyd fight. Because we all know Floyd doesn't fight anyone coming off of dominant wins.
I see ALOT of people putting a big emphasis on stamina. Y'all act like that can't be fixed with proper nutrition and preparation. So what happens when he comes in top knotch stamina??? You still see him getting ko'd by mayweather?? Y'all bring up the Jose cotto fight, how we was dazed. That was canelo's first fight in the U.S of course there's gonna be some jitters, I'm sure everybody gets shook at one time. After that I've never seen him shook by other fighters, ex: cintron, rhodes. Cintron was a heavy puncher at 147 and huge at that weight. I remember sEeing mayweather wobbled against zab a natural 140lb. If your gonna say cintron was shot then I guess Floyd was wobbled by a shot fighter(Mosley).

If Canelo doesn't find a rhythm landing on Mayweather by the 3rd round, I see Canelo getting frustrated and discouraged.

What's crazy is that when Canelo gets tired, he's totally aware where he is. He plays defense, he is relaxed. Mayweather will have to really go after him and if you want to get a knockout you risk to be knocked out. Mayweather ain't forcing a knockout unless Canelo breaks an ankle.
yeah people are always pointing out the trout fight for canelo. he was visibly tired but trout didn't try to put some sort of pressure on canelo...or he may have tried a little bit but then he realized canelo was still dangerous.
and really, floyd with his safety first style and potshotting offense, how is he gonna put some hurting on canelo?

So let me guess, you created this fake account so that when Canelo breaks Floyd to pieces, you won't have to delete your real one?
You scared?

lol i see a lot of comments about floyd ko'ing out canelo lately:lol1:
so aside from pointing out canelo's weak stamina, which could further worsen by the catchweight, what else could possibly happen in order for floyd to knock him out?
is he going to go for the kill if he sees canelo getting tired? he got jmm in trouble but he didn't go for it. mosley was so tired he almost can't throw a punch but floyd didn't go for the ko. he hurt cotto but he didn't follow it up.
so what is something new that you think floyd will do to ko canelo?
and for him to ko canelo he has to really go for it and take the fight to him...something we haven't seen from floyd in a long time. canelo might be young but he's not a reckless fighter or loses his patience easily. the kid likes to fight from a distance, take his time and find his opening. unless he really change his style, go for broke and put full pressure on floyd like hatton did but strongly doubt that.
Honestly... i'm in on a Mayweather KO for fun. I saw somebody say it will be in the 10th round with some big reason.... so I'll side with that.
Mayweather TKO 10!
Forreal though, Mayweather SU
I also think Floyd will stop Canelo. I don't think he necessarily has a weak chin, but I think stamina issues will plague him in this fight. Floyd by late stoppage.
