OP is missing the most obvious: Floyd is currently the WBA Super champ at 154. They wanted to strip him, he said not fair, I'm planning on defending after Guerrero. Maybe he was gonna pick another past prime undersized SWW to make the defense at the full limit? Since he's too small to entertain all challengers in his 5th weight class

He didn't ask for the CW. There are atleast two articles that I have seen where Canelo and his team asked for the CW. Having said thatI still feel it is hypocryitical for Floyd to fight at a CW. I personally don't like CWs. I think there are enough weight classes and there is no need to create anymore. Even though I am not for the CW I don't thiink the 2lbs will detract from Canelo's performance. Your not a fighter so u wouldn't know. That's what Ellerbe said before when talking about PAC getting Cotto to come down 2 pounds. He said it does indeed make a huge difference. And don't even go there with that bs about Canelo wanting a CW. He had no choice cuz Floyd was not with the fight being at 154.

Here comes 19 pages. Mayweather has fought at 154lbs twice in his career And Canelo has fought below 152 in all but 6 of his fights.
