Pacquiao has greater wins on his resume against Morales,Barrera, Marquez. and an impressive run at 140-147, that an 8th division champ with an impressive resume, and for the doubters, it's now also supported by Floyds standards. Which in case, Pacquiao's catchweight wins that Floyd was discrediting for nearly 3 years straight, now places Pacquiao well past Mayweather.
So can we all agree that he was the greatest of our times? i dont see anyone surpassing it either.
Your thoughts?
Manny's win over Bradley >>>> Any win of Floyd since he came back from retirement.
Why don't you just come out and say you don't know f*ck about boxing. Your comment exposes as much. Just do everyone a favor and come out of the closet about it.
Mosley was the #1 ww in the world when he fought floyd and may have been ranked the same p4p (or higher)as bradley was when manny fought him.
Floyd fought a 38 year old Mosley coming from a very long lay off. A year later Pac made him ran for his life. 38 or 39 year old Mosley it doesn't matter, he already past his prime but at least Pac did much better just like the Oscar fight.
Mayweather's resume is not that good:
Cotto - after he was destroyed by Pac
Old Mosley who almost KOed PBF lol
Marquez - coming up from 2 weight classes below
Hatton? lol
and bunch of featherweights
doesn't look like an ATG resume at all.
Pac all the way, went to fight bigger guys and destroyed them easily, never ran from anybody.

Not to mention, Pac wanted nothing to do with him at that time.

No Mosley was ranked higher than Bradley. I still dont have Bradley on my P4P. I dont get the hype
Manny and Floyd are always going to be grouped together.
It is up to your personal preference as to who's on top.
Only the extreme fans are going to legitimately argue these two deserve to separated
They are both as bad as eachother, yet they are arguably just as great as eachother
They should be separated. Floyd has only fought 9 times since 2006 while Pacquiao has fought 17 times. That right there shows one guy took less risks than the other. How can they even be compared with such record? Difference of eight fights.
Why not? :dunno:
Bradley was an unified champion, undefeated and a solid P4P fighter. Name one fighter Floyd faced since coming back from retirement who was better than Bradley.

Floyd faked his retirement when the weight division he was in is getting hot. Floyd since his retirement up to this point he only fought 5 times against weight cheated Marquez, grandpa Mosley, sucker punched Ortiz, past prime Cotto and Guererro. Compares to Pacquiao who fought 13 times against a much better oppositions. 5 shitty opponents vs Pac 13 quality opponents.
So Canelo will be the first live body in a while. Think I'll drop a little wager!

an exciting humble warrior that captured everyone's imagination...not to mention all of his accomplishments some of which may never be outdone by any fighter for a LONG time...
Too bad this is boxing though, where the goal is to win, no matter what style you use.
Lol. regardless, not getting hit is a huge part of boxing - which is what I was responding too.
I think Pacquiao be considered a better fighter years from now than Mayweather. Mayweather had his chance when he was a super featherweight to move up and become a all time great but staying undefeated was more important than legacy.
Both guys are ATGs, which one is greater can be argued (definitely Pac for me though) IMO Pac will end up as the premier fighter of the early 21st century. The man is much more popular, more great fights, more exciting, and more interesting character. He will be the first name to come into the mind of boxing fans when discussing this era.
BUT we shouldn't downplay Floyd's achievements at all, the man has an impressive resume and seems to be going strong still. Although both guys are on their way out I think Floyd has a chance to do more before they hang them up.
No, when things are all said and done Mayweather will be remembered more for his technical brilliance and consistent dominance in the ring. In terms of heads on their resume, they are in the same ball park.
Floyd will be remembered as Joe Calzaghe type of fighter but worst. At least Joe fought all he needs to fight. Great fighters suffered losses because they challenged themselves above their limits to achieve greatness while Floyd instead faked his retirement to duck top prime younger fighters in his very own weight division and cherry picked all his fights after he came back to protect his beloved 0.

Talent/skill wise? Floyd and it's not close. Impact wise for the sport? Manny and it's not close. Resume wise? debatable. There is no wrong answer, only wrong reasoning, it's all subjective and opinion.
