I thought he was a true warrior like pacman who has the mentality of just wanting to fight
pacman didnt need 2 keep fighting him
pac allowed him to keep having his chance, 3 times!
jmm couldnt get the job done and now he has, hes saying thats it?
and plus, there is definitely ped speculation around jmm..
all of a sudden after 3 fights, he finds this insane power and looks like a juiced up beef cake

interesting that you have a Pacquiao avatar though.
Nah but really...the fight will happen if they both keep winning. Marquez is just negotiating right now and basically saying he doesn't need it. If he said he wanted it then pacquiao calls all the shots.
no its actually the other way around
its a bithc move from Pacquiao to call him out, when both agree in that the 4th would be the last fight no matter the outcome
Pacquiao needs to be a man of his word n take his defeat like a man n how he said he would
it's understandable for Pac to want revenge on piss drinker
it's equally understandable for piss drinker to shoot it down
a 5th fight just isn't necessary, they finally went to a KO
and neither guy has much left to offer anyway, 5th fight would be stale
A fifth fight is a waste of time. There are tens of fantasy matchups that are dying to get made. Seeing two boxers in the ring five times is just too much. And for what?
If the fourth fight had gone the other way, he wouldn't be getting sh*t. Now he holds all the cards. I believe he is even a free agent after the Bradley fight (not sure on that though.) He could sign with whomever he wants if the WBO wants to attempt a fifth fight. If it went to purse bids JMM would get 75% and Manny would get 25%. The guy has an accounting degree and holds all the cards, he is gonna get his. JMM don't give a f*ck what Pacstains on NSB think of him, he has already feasted on their tears for many years.
I disagree with OP. Marquez feels that he won the majority of the fights against Pacquiao, as do I. He's fought him 4 times, and won 3 out of the 4 IMO, and to his, and to many other boxing fans around the world. It's very subjective.
Now, with that being said, I'm sure there's a myriad of fans out there that believe the opposite. Either way, Marquez is at the end of his career. In his eyes, and his heart, he's buried this saga, and has put it behind him. We know he's not scared of Pacquiao. I'm sure he wants a few more title shots and wants to move on. Nothing wrong with that.
Marquez is a true warrior, far from a coward, and to call him anything close to that is flat-out disrespectful. Don't let your love for one fighter blind you from acknowledgement of another great, perhaps hall of fame fighter.
I don't understand this nonsense about "love for a fighter". To me "love" means one thing only. I suppose you mean "preference" or "respect".... I hope....
It's not a b1tch move in the least. As a matter of fact not understanding why he doesn't take a 5th fight is the b1tch move.
Pac didn't allow him anything, the first 3 fights were very controversial, why can't you morons understand this?
If Pac had won CLEARLY, then you would have a point, but he didn't. The first one was a draw, then the next 2 could have literally gone either way.
So a 4th fight was necessary in order to END THE TRILOGY.
JMM knocked him out cold, it wasn't a controversial decision, it wasn't a robbery it was a clear knock out.
Rivalry is over, it's done, JMM won and won by KO. Get over it, move on to another subject. Because I guarantee you that if Pac was offered the Mayweather fight with no testing instead of the JMM fight, he would have denied JMM in a second and you wouldn't have the balls to call Pac a b1tch for not fighting JMM again....
So go away.
Top Rank offered Marquez a return fight right after their draw. He was offered $750,000, an insane amount at the time, and was more than the total of all Marquez's fights but together. He and Beristain turned it down and demanded $1.5 mill which I think was even more than Pacquiao was getting. I recall the interview in which Marquez-or Beristain -said "and not a cent less". So they didn't fight then, not for another 4 years.
In the meantime Marquez took a couple of crappy low paying fights, and then, stuck, the only fight available was one against Chris John in Jakarta, in which-according to Steve Kim, who was there at the fight, and another American reporter- he was soundly beaten-Kim said he was "well beaten". With all the urban legends which have grown up about that fight by his fans, Kim actually published articles a couple of times to debunk them. For this fight he got exactly $32,500, from which with all the splits and deductions he probably pocketed $10-15,000. It served him right. The only time he's really made money has been with Top Rank fighters, particularly MannyP.
His family and pension fund should make prayers to them every day.
I think Marquez should fight him again if he is well paid. Fight him in Mexico City. It's Marquez's highest possible paying fight and Pacquiao gave him a rematch when he did not have to.

only the mexicans dont want it.
all pacfans want revenge through a 5th fight even if pac fails.
another loss to jmm should be the close of this chapter. that KO is not IT.

First of all Manny did need to fight him, none of the fights he won were decisive victories. Secondly all fans wanted was a DECISIVE victory which meant a clear decision (highly unlikely considering their history) or a knock out.
Guess what? We got both. If Pacquiao was the one who KO'd Marquez, you wouldn't be making this thread ever. Oh and by the way, Pacquiao didn't want a third fight until later he changed his mind.
EDIT: LOL @ PED speculation, you do understand the evidence of Marquez using is as strong the evidence in Pacquiao's case. Quit it.

Besides money there is absolutely nothing to gain from gaining another victory over Manny, he destroyed the ATG and stopped the hype train in its tracks, history will always be kind to him for that in spite of the circumstances. If he losses to Manny again he may be seen as a good fighter that picked and chose his opponents and only had Manny's number, something that Manny corrected in his latter career. I dont think JMM could live with the latter...
Its about legacy for JMM at this point, quite honestly I will think less of JMM if he doesnt try to avenge his Mayweather loss somewhere down the line if he gets passed Bradley

How many times does Marquez have to beat the fu.ck out of this guy before enough is enough?
He outboxed him in the third fight & left him face first out cold in the forth.
Why are Mannys fans so desperate to see their fighter get destroyed again?
He can't beat Marquez & that is it. Hes too intelligent for him.
