Did Abner Mares rely on low blows

Exactly and it's not just low blows he fights dirty when he just bum rushes hisopponents and lands shots behind the head and headbutts. It's true though vs Agbeko vs darchinyan vs moreno and I'm sure there's more opponents but he was throwing low blows after low blows especially vs agbeko it was disgusting. It leads me to believe he was doing it on purpose. It's almost like he new he wouldn't be penalized for it :thinking:

There's no ****ing excuse for consistently landing double digit low blows. Exactly! the day of his fight with Gonzalez I watched some of his older fight's and couldn't believe how many low blows this guy gets away with.

When you commit that much to the body some punches will go astray.. Is that too hard to understand for you? Is it to hard for you to understand that that still doesn't make it right. Abner Mares just threw his 14th low blow in the 8th round and according to you the ref should say that's OK he's just really committed to the body. Don't be stupid bro nothing justifies throwing that many low blows.

Interesting...didnt know Povetkin, Rigo, Abril, Donaire etc are Golden boy fighters...I guess Russell Mora and you know something we dont. Just watch Mares last couple fights. He lands more low blows then jabs.

Prior to the Gonzalez fight how many low blows do you think Abner averaged per fight. I know in the Agbeko fight it was like 23 low blows and that should be enough to disqualify anybody. There is always gotta be some poser that saw ONE Mares fight and thinks they know all about him.

This thread is a little unfair but kinda true at the same time.

abner is a high volume body puncher, its just natural that some will land low but that doesn't mean its intentional, it depends a lot on how the opponent moves when the punch was already released, that being said in the agbeko fight he had his aim way off and should have been deducted points.. still doesn't mean it was intentional.. I dont know but Mares threw and landed a ridiculous amount of lowblows and borderline lowblows... It still amazes me how agbeko was still able to get up for each round after all the lowblows he was getting hit with...
