I love the guy but Mares just got ktfo. Smh Canelo is in real tough vs Floyd. JMM is fighting Tim n just because he's always had Pacs number n put him to sleep doesn't mean he will beat Bradley. In a span of 3 months, Mexicos top 3 fighters might all go down 1 by 1. Could be a bad end of the 2013 year for the them. PS Keep it friendly please, yes it's a thread about a particular race but I'm not trying to be racist.
Who they got? Marquez ... And he retiring after Bradley put him to sleep. Mares got stopped. Santa cruz garbage They need to learn some defense
Santa Cruz is garbage? :lol1: The only thing that's garbage is your post.
And to the TS, I can't help but feel this is a race bait thread. Mexico is dominating the sport right now, deal with it.
Mares, Canelo and JMM are your superstars.
Mikey Garcia is better than Mares and probably Canelo. Francisco Estrada looks pretty darn good and so does Rey Vargas. If Marquez, Mares, and Canelo exit the top 10 P4P it should move up Mikey Garcia.

Good points. Hadn't thought about it. We'll be ok. :headbang::headbang::headbang:
our superstars?
it's just their superstars i think that are in trouble...they still have some good champs that haven't got a lot of attention that they deserve (i.e. juan francisco estrada) maybe a superstar for you not for me.
Mares KO
Marquez KO
Canelo KO
Santa cruz KO (when rigo touch him)
who else they got?
LOL man you are dreaming hu? Or maybe you have a crystal ball? Don't hate, Mexico and boxing is l ike peanut butter and jelly, one can't go without the other.
Deal with it.
Even if JMM and Canelo lose, Mexico is still in excellent shape. Mexican fans are probably the most dedicated fan base so even when a guy like Mares loses the fans will still support. Plus, there are so many good Mexican champions and up and comers in boxing currently. There are guys like Juan Estrada, Juan Carlos Sanchez, Mikey Garcia, Guerrero and Victor Ortiz. But most importantly a few losses doesn't hurt their fan support or marketability.

Tito was mindfcked...Credit to Hopkins team for playing games and getting in Tito's head.
Hopkins did a great job of not letting Tito land enough to create problems.
Credit to Bernard for 27 headbutts and not a single warning or deduction. That is crafty right there.
I ain't wanna turn it in to that but yeah we all know Tito was a beast at ww and jr mw. He ko Joppy at mw n I thought he was ready to take over 160 but Hopkins whipped him. Head butted the sh1t outta him too.
yo homie do you consider tito a cheat? I heard he got caught with wraps I aint sure though. He got stopped the same fight he a little suspsect to me
Read up on it and find out for yourself. Some say he just had his hands wrapped a certain way that was illegal in NYC but legal in other states. He ended up having to re wrap them. The re wrapping happens alot in boxing. He also wasnt suspended so I don't think he had anything that bad. Hopkins would have probably beaten Tito regardless of anything so him losing doesn't make me think anything suspect about him. Tito was favored going in but Hopkins was no joke. Especially being a mw champ for so long like he was.
They aren't mexican tho. Its like saying amir khan is Pakistani. They've both lived here all their lives and in Alvarado's case, his father has as well.
The issue is not as simple. its silly to think that mexicans only live in Mexico given the presence of the mexican community in the US. The Mexican case is especially true due to the fact that Mexico is close and a lot of these guys grow up speaking spanish and in culturally Mexican homes, usually in ethnic enclaves.
Ask the average american if Mikey is American, and most will say Mexican. Remember, we live in a country where looking Mexican is deemed suspicious of illegal status. So its no surprise that even Mike Alvarado will find solace in his Mexican roots (though of course i agree that his claims are weaker)
So, feel free to count them as Americans, but guys like Mikey, Leo Santa Cruz, Omar Figueroa, Josesito Lopez, etc. will tell you that they are Mexican. I am biased towards their own words.
It's bloodline for me. If your parents are from Mexico, and you were born in Ireland, believe me... you are MEXICAN.
I don't buy this "oh he is american though..." Nah, rep that bloodline son.
Yeah, That's how I go about it too. If your parents are Mexican then Your Mexican American if your born here.
I don't have any respect to any active Mexican boxer except Mikey Garcia
Even if he loses one day , I will still have the same respect, because the man can really box
Puerto Rico needs to step their PEDs/plaster game up ASAP!
Lol at this point, all that cheating sh1t is welcomed. Jk. Idk but these guys in the island need to step it up immediately!!!!

I consider Khan Pakistani too. I know he's born n raised in England but he's of Pakistani decent. IMO that counts too.
They are American born but I consider them Mexican still.

Out of 68 belts, Mexico holds 10 belts currently, the USA holds 14*.
*counting Mikey Garcia and Mike Alvarado as US fighters.
Theyre full fledged americans. Why the hell wouldn't u count them.
If you consider Canelo to be one of mexicos top fighters u are already confused.
Oh, so he's not 1 of the top Mexican fighters???? So who besides Mares and JMM are in front of Ginger????
exactly,,,, mexico has not shortage of fighters,, some one will rise to the occasion...
Mexico will always have a few top guys but it doesn't change what can happen coming up in the next 2 months.
