2 round stoppage, beating Akio Shibata the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation Champ in his Pro Debut, it seems Arum got himself the Japanese Pacquaio.. good work Bob!
Next phase of the New Generation... Vasyl Lomachenko that will be fighting Boricua Jonathan Oquendo 23-3 in his Pro Debut :fing02:

Also Bob Arum was ringside for Ryo's Debut, and he has been training in Las Vegas, Arum may used him in some of his Asian cards, but I have the feeling he will be fighting in USA more than in Asia.
He was really good in the Olympics. He had a close fight with that Brazilian but won.
I enjoyed how he would break people down with hard body shots.
I am glad he decided to go pro.
His fight with Uzbek Abbos Atoev on the semifinals was pretty good too, he has a natural Pro style, if he would have stayed amateur, he would have gotten another gold in Rio because of the new rules of fighting without headgear, he would have been more effective.
Dang this kid is legit. First time seeing him fight and I already like his style, sorta like a power punching version of Winky Wright.
This is Arums new Asian star not that Zou Shiming who has no power at all.
But the Japanese market is near tapped, while the Chinese one is not and is much bigger
Damn... these gold medalists are not starting off easy.
Murata makes his debut against the OPBF champ and Lomachenko will probably have a title fight by his second bout
Yeah man this Murata just got thrown in there with a guy who has much more experience. But I am impressed big time, his composure his style he was made for pro boxing. and Lomachenko is going to be giving a hard road too.
The only one that Arum is babying is Zou Shiming but he is doing that because he is trying to wait till China builds more interest in boxing.

Just read on the ring article that he has to fight 3 times in Japan before leaving to fight out of country.
Didn't know that.
Also it said that the JBC matchmaking made this fight or something.... I wonder why.
Anybody got any insight?
Alright performance for a pro debut against somebody vastly more experienced
Used his forearms way to much, I don't see him winning a major title any time soon
Damn... these gold medalists are not starting off easy.

Sweet video looks like the new new generation of boxing is gonna be a good one if quality guys like this keep competing
Murata style is made for Pro Boxing, just like Lomachenko.
Also other guys of the new phase to keep an eye on are Oleksander Usyk, Oscar Valdez, Felix Verdejo and Jose Ramirez, all of them with Top Rank.
Not impressed
The guy is blessed with power, he may not look "cute" boxing, but he has hammers on his fists, just like Kovalev and GGG.
And he must have done something right, to become the Olympic Champion.
Shibata was a very difficult opponet for his pro debut, as Shibata is himself a boxer, he could have run all the fight, and measured Murata stamina in the pro ranks.
Great win for the new Pacquiao!
