I don't care if they lost a cash cow, i'm not interested in their financial malarky. I do think Donaire would stop Rigo if they met again though. He is an exceptionally talented boxer and anyone who fails to see that is clearly no fan of boxing.

I don't get all this nonito hate, the guy has one of the best resumes in the sport, has beaten divisional number ones, kod some worthy champions and challengers and won a whole host of legit championships. boxing "fans" seem to love names, nationalities and guys hwo talk a good game but never back it up but a guy who has continuously challenged himself, in Rigo he took on an unproven quantity who had undoubtedly had a lot of talent and skill. So he lost, why is everyone pissin on him? Boxing would be a better place if boys like broner, berto and co grew similar balls. ffs this place annoys the hell outa me sometimes!
Rigo made 750k because of Donaire's drawing power. For 122lbs thats huge.
Totally, and probably a part of it was GBP laughable 3m offer. I mean you say your guy is #1, better than Donaire, you offer Donaire 3m (with no date or venue), then turn around and pay your guy 375k.
However supposedly Rigo has a very high minimum built into his contract, which came before Donaire. I don't understand why Arum would sign him with a very large guarantee.
Donaire never fought on a legit ppv. These Pinoy Power don't qualify, I think even Viloria headlined those.
Rigo just made 750k in his 12th fight. How long you suppose it took Donaire to make that? My guess is not till Arce, in his 4th weight class.
Yeah i was saying that cos the TS was using it to knock Donaire's 'cash cow' status.

Donaire wasnt a cash cow compared to floyd or manny or Chavez JR,,,
But he was the cash cow of the lower weights,,,
He was easily to biggest fight for anyone around there ie mares, rigo,
How many 122lbers and under have fought on ppv before?
Donaire was a cash cow for the lower weight classes, hell he still will be by the looks of things.

He wasn't a cash cow you're right, but HBO was shoving Donaire down our throats as the next best thing ever since he KOd Darchinyan.
That's not true at all. He toiled on Showtime and Pinoy Power PPV for years before showing up on HBO.
He wasn't a cash cow you're right, but HBO was shoving Donaire down our throats as the next best thing ever since he KOd Darchinyan. Rigondeaux destroyed that myth and now he's paying for it because he's not in the same level of excitement as Donaire, at least to the average fan who outweigh the hardcore fans by a lot.
Im tired of hearing this foolishness are we gonna act like Donaire aint have 2 years of snoozers on his recent bum tour before the rigo match............................

He had to at that point everyone Donaire was a fraud after ducking a career high in Mares, Arum had to save face
Arum had the option to simply not resign Rigo and avoid the whole thing before Mares even made the offer.
nobody said he was there yet but he was clearly on his way, or at least arum was trying his hardest to make it so. rigo simply derailed those plans, temporarily if nothing else.
Donaire is not a cash cow. I can't recall him ever headlining a ppv. Are these people dumb? Or just stupid?
Its mainly the floydiots that peddle this kind of crap. Not actual Rigondeaux fans. They took Rigo to their hearts because he was fighting a filipino. As always it racism/xenophobia behind everything with this grubby little lot.:nonono:
What annoys me is that the Cult of Rigo was always citing Bob Arum saying Rigo would beat Donaire (after Donaire tried going to GB), but all of sudden the cult has a new conspiracy that Arum is pissed at Rigo for beating his darling cashcow, which doesn't make sense if Bob always knew Rigo had a real possibility of beating Donaire. Why would Arum put Rigo in with Donaire at all if he thought he Donaire would lose? Why would Arum be pissed at Rigo (and then punish him supposedly) for doing something he predicted Rigo would do?

Ok then, CatchweightKing, what do you think is the reason for his being blackballed by Arum and subsequently HBO?
Arum/HBO asked Rigo to lay down for Donaire, Rigo didnt oblidge now he's being punished....................
Hardly anyone gives a sh1t about Donaire. He worked his way up the hard way. He was on small time SHO cards and Pinoy Power PPV years after KTFOing Vic. He was p4p rated and making what Rigo would scoff at with 12 fights on his pro record. I'm thinking Arce is the first time Donaire made what Rigo made in his 12th fight.
And had a rabid set of fans looking for their next Pacquiao as evidenced right on this site
