DAVID HAYE has branded Tyson Fury a fool for dismissing him as an arrogant, blown-up cruiserweight.
Haye feels Fury won't be able to handle his punching and power
The pair meet in a massive domestic heavyweight dust-up at the Manchester Arena on September 28.
And the unbeaten 6ft 9in Fury, 25, is convinced that the much smaller and lighter Haye will be no match for him, saying: “Believe me, he will have no answer to my power and my punching.”
Fury compared Haye to his latest victim Steve Cunningham, a former IBF world cruiserweight champion who he defeated in seven rounds last December. Click Here To Read More]
Fury, for a guy his size is a good inside fighter. Haye, on the other hand is a better outside fighter.
The only way I can see Tyson winning if he get on the inside to maul David and make it a very physical fight. He has to make a dirty fight in order to survive.
Overall, Haye has more ability than Fury; Better chin, power and speed. The only advantage Fury has is size. If he can utilize it then this fight could become interesting. If not, then I expect David to win by TKO.
It's a cherry pick because Haye was due to fight the almighty Charr himself, then pulled ouy with a fake hand injury, because the Fury CASH fight could be made. I don't blame him, don't get me wrong. But it's very obvious he during his HW run has been carefully ducking and selecting fighters, not to become HW Champ, but to cash in and run with the money. And he's about to do yet again.
Charr would have been tailor made for Haye.
Also, boxing is a business as well as a sport. Of course Haye is going for the fight that will made him more money.
Did I say undisputed? Or did I say that he was universally recognized as the champ? And who cares about how many fights he had or how many rounds he fought as champion? He mentioned weight problems all the way back in 2005, fought the champions and moved up to heavyweight.
The CW division has traditionally always been a gateway for the heavyweight divison since it was made, so who the hell cares?
Steve Cunningham was a fighter who couldn't even sellout a fight in his home town, and who had fought for a paper belt. Add to that the weight issues, and Haye already beat the other champs in the division, he had done enough at CW.
You may have not said it but that was my point. Someone must also care because they keep making claims that are not true and overemphasis Haye's overrated career as a CW. Now back to my point that he was never the undisputed CW champ like so many Brits want us to believe, he just wasn't. End of discussion.
By legit do you mean the whole four month period that he was CW champion? And the incredible 2 rounds he fought as the champ? Wow, what a career at CW. And it is simple nothing can be undisputed if it is in fact disputed. Just like Wlad isn't the undisputed champ regardless of how many alphabet boys and magazines recognize him as such.

You are both nitpicking here.
Haye was universally recognized as THE cw champion. There's no questioning that. Both by the ring, boxrec and the bodies. Technically, Cunningham held a paper belt, as Haye did at heavy..
But his CW career was legit.

Pianeta wasn't a great challenge for Wlad, but he was legitimate.
I'd love to see Wlad-Fury (as I know many other's here would) because it's a good match up. Haye-Fury isn't a good match up, as Fury is a tailor made KO victim for davey.
I am Danish, I've told you that before :lol1:
Wait wait wait a minute..
Did you just say he'd be a legitimate fight for the heavyweight champ of the world, but not for a mere contender, who btw, you have referred to as a joke and a coward on multiple occassions? Explain please.
You are not Danish, come on. Where are you from?
What is it that they say "should've, could've, would've"? So, what you are saying is that in reality Haye was only a one division champion, right? Because if you want to go that route Haye was not the WBA heavyweight champion. Because he lost to Wlad who should have been the WBA belt holder when he beat Chagaev.

The only reason he didn't have the IBF title is because O'Neil Bell was stripped before Mormeck won the rematch. So technically he wasn't but he should have been.

Don't be a prat. Fury is more of a risk than Charr.
How is it a cherry pick? Fury won 2 eliminators & is a top contender in all bodies... Fury is a cherry pick but mormeck, sosnowski, kingpin, pianeta, charr, briggs(at 39, heavy & inactive against real opponents) are not? Come on man! You must be joking.... Then again

Another cherry pick cash cow for Haye.

I was saying Fury will be an easy fight for Haye, which I believe he will be.
What are your thoughts on Fury after tonight, how far can he go? Regardless, I'd love to see Fury vs Wladimir, as it would be a great fight for Wlad.

You got owned troll. If Wlad was fighting Fury you would be saying: "another 0 taken by Wlad - the goat, best ever".
You're a fool and a hypocrite.

lol.
The other is an ancient comment, I had high hopes of Price before the Thompson fights and of Fury before he looked clumsily amateurish against Cunningham.
Time changes fast, especially in boxing.
