I mean I think it's great Mexicans support their guy. I would too, but I personally scored Trout for a victory and so did a lot of other people, he outlanded Canelo throughly and outboxed him throughout most of the flight. Imagine what a potshotting Floyd will do to a 152lb 'natural' middleweight.
Just saying. This fight will be Canelo walking into Floyd's punches and slowing down more and more as the fight goes on.
Maybe he didn't want to sound like a cry baby, it was a close fight and I thought Trout won too.
not only he admitted, but he also said canelo was the faster, stronger and better fighter...
it's just bull**** how he gets handed/gifted the wbc belt, gets placed at the top ten p4p by ring for barely doing anything significant, and gets a shortcut at a BIG payday with floyd when he should be facing erislandy lara next...but lara is stuck fighting these endless wbc eliminators
canelo has been carefully carried along avoiding most big challenges with the help of gbp and wbc suliaman..
personally i can't wait until floyd derails this hype job like martinez derailed chavez jr....and i'm not even that big of a floyd fan..

lol, knew the excuse for Floyd getting beaten would be that or something similar.

Mayweather is the one who is overrated by many on this board in my opinion. I keep hearing about Mayweather's clinics and his master class performances and how he will win every round of his fight with Canelo. I also read that he could beat any fighter under light heavyweight and if he wanted to he could dominated everybody for another 10 years.Floyd's a great fighter but he is no where near as good as some of his fans say he is. So Canelo had a hard fight with Trout that could have been scored for either man. So what? Trout is a damn good fighter who beat Cotto in Cotto's back yard by the same scorecards that Mayweather beat Cotto.Maybe Trout would defeat Mayweather. Who did Mayweather beat in the last 6 years that Trout or Canelo could not also beat? Canelo is a natural 154 pounder under todays rules of weighing in about 32 hours before the fight. Canelo said he has never had trouble making 154 and if he did he would go to 160. He came into the Trout fight at 153, a full pound under the limit. That's not the sign of someone with a weight making problem. He also said 152 won't be a problem or he would not have agreed to fight at that weight. You say Mayweather will potshot Canelo but you don't know how this fight will go anymore than I do. I support Canelo and bet some cash on him to beat Floyd. I live in New Mexico but I am not Mexican. My favorite fighters come from all over the world and I go by what I see and not hype. I think Canelo is pretty damn good from what I have seen. I think the world will see the best Canelo yet for this fight. He is training hard at 7000 feet and breaking ribs and busting up some good sparring partners. We will find out how Floyd handles Canelo on the night of September 14th.You might be right but I think you are wrong.

I guess you didn't see all those punches trout missed throughout the fight. Yeah canelo became inactive at times in the second half of the fight but didn't trout himself admit he lost? Or am i mistaken? I thought canelo clearly won.
Theres hype for Canelo, but all I've seen since the promotion started is the idea of floyd winning handedly outweighing any opinion of Canelo winning. Experts by far have picked or insinuated a floyd victory.
Canelo is not hyped out of the ordinary, it's fine whatever he gets now, he deserves.
Now in other news, you know what really makes me laugh when browsing through these forums, it's people going "Yeah, I wont be surprised if Floyd gets KO'ed!" you know what I mean? Haha these cats playing it cool, their jaw will be heading to Australia like the rest of us if that happens.
I don't think Canelo has any business in the ring with Floyd just yet, if ever. Super Welter division is weaker than Middleweight and welterweight right now and the belts are up for grabs for the most part( I will give Canelo the top spot at SW tho, I'm no hater). I can see Floyd winning by UD and then vacating all the belts and not fighting at 154 again. At least that's what he should do. Style wise, Lara gives Floyd the most problems in that division.
I can see canelo having 2 possible futures....
1. he beats floyd and becomes the face of boxing, will probably fight angulo, serg for mw belt, cotto, etc,,, and rule boxing for the next 5 years or so...
2. He gets beat by floyd,,,, he has a few tune-ups,, goes to mw where serg is done, and quillen and ggg are reigning,, Canelo lands a big fight with one of them and gets ko'd and turns it another fernando vargas,,,, great beginning to a career but couldnt stay on the mountain top,,
