obviously they'll say he was past prime, and would've beaten him in his prime but honestly, is that really an excuse. if you look at styles, canelo's style doesn't really mimic anything that would give mayweather a problem intelligent pressure, volume, and a constant jab is what you need to give Floyd problems JLC & ODLH styles were nightmares for Floyd. If DLH had been a few years younger, that fight could've went the other way easily I know people like to think Mayweather's style trumps every other style but that really isn't the case
