I think that's why Freddie roach went on record of saying he was the best prospect in boxing.
They are so similar. The flurries of punches. The only thing is im not sure if Kovalev can keep that up for more than 6 rounds.
anyone else feel they fight similar?
Thats my take. Not seeing the comparison at all but maybe I am missing something.
That they both like to throw a ton of combos and press the action, basically. It's a weird comparison, but that's what it would be.

yes they are very similar but not exact. both of them are swarmers who will overwhelm you with punches from angles.
Pacman though is much faster on his feet and flurries, but they use a similar ambushing style and will throw a lot of angled combos. And they also have that killer instinct when they wobble a guy.
Kovalev is very difficult he is like a bigger version of Pacman, but not as explosive or fast but uses a similar style of combo punching and timed aggression.
I do see the similarities, yes.
It sounds crazy because of the size differential and Manny being a southpaw but I do see what you mean and thought it myself.
Its his footwork, the angles, both aggressive counterpunchers who like to throw combinations and get out.
I think they're similar myself, obviously there is a big difference in size, Manny uses a lot more lateral movement etc but I see exactly where you are coming from.
thankyou , its all relative of course. Obviously Manny pac is much faster, but as a light heavy, I think hes a many pac of this division imo.

kovalev doesn't nearly have the same quick/explosive foot work as pac though and yah we don't know how good his stamina is either...
but both guys do like to throw in flurries and press the action..i think that's where the similarities stop though.
