To be a 3 division champion at 23 in divisions 17 pounds apart is impressive

Everyone keeps saying this, everyone has talent at the world level. What is so special about Broner? People desperately want Floyd 2.0 whe he's gone and they think its Broner. Lol

Can you really jump 2 divisions and cherry pick a champion? is that really even possible? Well when u pick the weakest of all the champs in that division then yes.

He beat Malinaggi wtf 7 ko's in 36 fights. And barely even beat him at that. He resume is weak and everybody on his jock. Let him actually fight someone worth a damn. Hell Gavin Rees was landing on him that's sad. Rees has the speed and technique to land on most people, to be fair. He, like Paulie has no punch.

Now i know Broner hasn't been lineal in any of these divisions but still to be a 3 time champion or titlist what ever you want to call it is still impressive. Imagine if he drops to 140 next and picks up a title there No it isn't when you see what he has done. He was gifted a title at 130 against a guy who was a nobody, beat a decent DeMarco and then beat a guy who has lost every major fight of his career and was a natural 140 pounder AND it was a damn close fight against a guy who was stopped often. What credit does he deserve except winning 3 different paper titles, he is the very definition of the term paper champion. now what Manny did by the time he was 23 or what Duran did in his early 20s at LW, now that's impressive, this is a croc of ****.

He did no such thing at 130. Atleast not to win his belt he didn't. The only person he's fought in the Top 5 of any division is DeMarco and he's dead average at best. I thought Perez had a top 10 rating? Whether he deserved it or not, that's another question. But I swear The Ring (lol) had him like 4-6.

Lol the weakest champion at 147, the man shouldn't even be champ as he was the one who got a gift win against Cano, Has no power and has seen better days. yeah bruh, it's possible, Whats more impressive is that Mathysse' KO of Mike Dallas made Broner jump not just one, but TWO weight divisions, now thats impressive.

I told people Paulie would hold his own. Hes not a bum like NSB made him out to be just because Broner was fighting him. People got way too caught up in the Floyd comparsions on this site. Hes not Floyd, hes not elite and hes no where near his prime.

Champion is a loose term in boxing. He went and fought top 10 rated contenders in 3 divisions and beat them. Not a bad accomplishment, but he didn't do it against the #1 guys each time. Still impressed by him in the ring most of the time, and think he has a bright future. Wish he had more of a killer instinct, not saying it's NOT there, just would like to see a bit more sense of urgency to put guys like Paulie away. He did no such thing at 130. I would love to hear all the fighters who jumped 2 divisions and cherry picked a champion,hell how many fighters in the history of the sport have jumped 2 divisions and won a title in their 1st fight there? Most fighters don't get the luxuries or oppourtunities that Broner get's in his career. Moving up from 135 to 147 used to the norm once upon a time if you wanted to move up in weight. And more times than not the "champion" at the weight was better than a past prime Pauli Malignaggi coming off what should have been a loss to a fringe contender. Let's face it, the term "3 weight champion" looks nice on paper. But when you actually look at it, it's not that impressive.

I haven't liked him since he didn't try to make those 2 weigh ins with Vincent . He is talented tho

If broner was Asian he would be a world wide star donaire is a legit 3 weight world champ (darchinyan, montiel, mathebula/nishioka/vazquez jr)and is asian..but he gets ****ted on by almost everyone on here..wtf are you talking about...

He landed more punches,and landed the harder punches..if you think Paulie won then i guess Bradley beat Manny That makes no sense. According to compubox, Bradley got outlanded real badly. And you're not saying Tim punches harder? Not that I disagree about Broner Paulie, Broner clearly won.

Belts dont mean ****. He beat 3 WEAK title holders in 3 different divisions. Its not the same as Roberto Duran moving up to welterweight and beating the actual #1 guy in the division. I actually like broner as a fighter too but lets be real his resume is total weak sauce at this point. It's funny cause if broner fought anybody else at 140-147 i feel he wouldnt be getting so much ****. But he just had to choose the one guy who has no chance.

Ontop of that Pacquiao jumped 135-147 to fight De La Hoya and was looked at as a underdog in that fight . No belt sure , but if you think about it nobody have him a chance and he dominated DLH. Broner didn't even dominate . And belts are over rated . Now if he went up and beat the true champion of 147 or even 140 then you got a "omg he young doe with 3 belts " case
