I would say GGG but Kovalev is a devastating puncher as well. Adonis Stevenson is a concussive puncher too. It's always an added level of excitement when a KO artist is fighting.
From what I see GGG has more one punch power and the combination of workrate and Kovalev's power overwhelms his opponents.
So GGG. But Kovalev aint far behind.
both are very strong, golovkin is much smarter and can get in cleaner shots, kovalev just wings punches until something lands without much thought or set up and is a bit of a head-hunter
im not sure who hits harder, leaning a bit on kovalev, but golovkin has the skills to score the pin-point one punch ko's

Have no idea really- that's something I heard in the last few days. My point was the power can be proven against lesser opponents as well.
For example Wach is pretty much a bum, but he might have the best chin in the sport.
But Wach's chin was tested and passed the test. Can't say the same for Cleverly and Macklin.

I think Golovkin is the slightly harder puncher, but I think Kovalev is the more dangerous and physical fighter. Kovalev brings pressure and punching volume like no other fighter in boxing.
Kov has good power and he's trying to hurt his opponents too. GGG has heavy hands and thats the difference! GGG punches are more debilating and his technique delivering them is much smoother than Kov. Ray.
lol "B-level" is actually pretty good, do knockouts only count against A standard fighters? because there aren't many around.
So then we all agree Wilder will KO the Klits then?
I think overall GGG is a more polished, better fighter, but they both hit very hard.
What do you think who hits harder p2p?
Ask Roman Simakov... End of thread.
Hard for me to tell. Sergey puts a lot into every shot. GGG does not load up as much, he seems to test his placement and opponents reactions with softer shots, then opens up on them with something crushing when he sets a trap.
I would not want to get hit by either of them LOL. Sergey is wilder, but also throws so much more volume. Golovkin probably has more P4p power, but does not throw as much and seems to control how hard he wants to hit someone. He is more methodical
Both hit hard as hell. I wouldn't wanna take one on the chin from either lol Kovalev seems to have more bad intentions when he throws then GG does, to me at least.
I voted GGG.They both get results but GGG's punches look harder to me.GGG hits with more speed and he has perfect form on his punches. He gets so much body weight into his punches.Kovalev is a great puncher with timing and accuracy but GGG hits harder pfp. in my opinion.
Not really much to judge off of since they both only faced like B- opposition. Probably GGG at this point.
No comment until they actually fight the top of the top and KO them in such fashion. Macklin and Cleverly were always B level talent to me.

well B level fighter can have A level chin... Cleverly suppose to have an iron chin...
^^^this...hell even some journeymen might be hard to stop...you'll see some journeymen with 20+ losses but only been stopped twice.
I'm going to go with Kovalev.
He threw like on right hook and hit Cleverly's sholder and it was bright red.
The shot that hurt him wasn't even a full blown power punch.
Cleverly's not even been hurt from what I've seen. The hardest puncher he's fought is Bellew but still, Kovalev splattered him.
Both Golovkin and Kovalev are two of the hardest punchers in the sport though P4P.
They both hit hard but when I see Kovalev punch it looks like he's going to kill whoever his opponent is. These questions are hard to answer but visually Kovalev looks like he hits harder.
I think overall GGG is a more polished, better fighter, but they both hit very hard.
What do you think who hits harder p2p?
P4P, Golovkin hits harder, even though I voted Kovalev, I missed the p2p bit :damnit1:
Edit: It is very close IMO, both hit very hard for their weight especially Kovalev. But looking at GGG vs. Ishida and Macklin, I'm edging towards GGG as he has knocked out the more accomplished fighters, and with regards to Clev's chin, I was never too sure that it was sturdy or not as he hadn't faced a big puncher.
