Kovalev could hurt Ward more than he's ever been hurt before. In such a fight, we have the chance to see Ward's heart and his recovery ability.
A well-trained Ward should win this, but remember.. Ward hasn't fought in awhile, while Kovalev has been fighting regularly.
Tonight is some of you guys' lucky night...I'm making an appearance and posting a little...
Let's see....Cleverly is/was a C Level fighter....Kovalev is a solid B Level fighter....the Cleverly win has nothing to do with that rating...the Campillo fight was his litmus test.
Andre Ward is an undisputed, TOP P4Per.
Does that answer the question?
That would be a very interesting fight, Kovalev cannot be controlled as easily as Kessler or Froch because of his explosiveness. If you force Ward to fight at a pace where he's not comfortable, you can give him problems as Bika showed. I'm picking Ward because I think he would force the fight on the inside, where Kovalev is not very effective.
Calm down. Kovalev just a champion for the past hour and you want these two to collide. Let him fight 5-6 more times, then he'll be somewhat ready and people will beg for it, too.
