Kovalev vs. Stevenson.

Kovalev destroys Stevenson. Knocks him out, likely early.

Kovalev wins that fight in a couple rounds... Stevenson really doesn't have any boxing skills. He's just got that left hand. Kovalev showed that he has at least some boxing skill, he was slipping punches.

I think this would be a very fan-friendly fight. Who do you think would win? Leave the judges at home for this one. Kovalev by mid round stoppage.

id have to go with stevenson since hes the only one whos been tested. lets see what happens with cleverly, he isnt comparable to dawson obviously but could still tell us a bit about kovalev. edit: i guess we have our answer. big difference between clev and dawson so adonis has still been in with much better opposition obviously. but kovalev looks like he would be a handful for anyone at 175. Stevenson fought Dawson for like 2 minutes and landed a good shot, it wasn't like he out-boxed him. Stevenson has a puncher's chance, you can never write off someone with that kind of power.

Stevenson has a punchers chance, but Kovalev is the superior fighter. Kovalev by mid-rounds KO is my pick. As for Stevenson having the better opposition, his best opponent prior to Dawson was Don George! And Dawson was coming off of a KO loss, had been patchy for years, and the stuff coming out of his training camps during & after the Ward fight seemed to indicate he had simply lost the plot. My take on Stevenson is that he is a very heavy handed slugger with some solid basic boxing skills, but tends to be predictable & doesn't put his punches together very well - jab, jab, bomb; jab, jab, bomb, etc. Kovalev is a pure boxer puncher & looks like he could be the new Bob Foster (although it's still early days). Haven't seen a light-heavy put together punches like Kovalev does in years, & will be following his career with great interest.

Kovalev by KO. Stevenson would get caught and stopped inside 2 rounds.

Kovalev has superior boxing skills, and I think that would enable him to get to Stevenson before Stevenson gets to him.

I think it would be a FOTY candidate.

I'm not going to spoil it for you but LOL. its already been spoiled so dont worry. i havent seen it yet though and like i said its still a big difference between cleverly and the ppl stevenson fought. clev was untested in his own right. still, taking him out so quick is impressive, i think.. like i said i havent seen it yet. stevenson certainly isnt invincible, he has his fair share of flaws. he also has the equalizer so you cant count him out.

He would beat him pretty easy I think so too but it would bring out the fans in Chicago.

kovalev is the superior boxer... he has skills

Would be a very exciting fight, I think Kovalev is the better fighter but Stevenson has more power when he loads up. I'm picking Kovalev but who knows what will happen if he eats a flush straight left from Stevenson.
