GGG dominated the rest and peppered him with body shots and power jabs. But which fighter was training for a fight at the time?? Paul Spadafora was training for a fight and Mayweather was not and Spadafora owned Mayweather and Mayweather collapsed on the canvas with a bloody nose. No I am not making this up, I saw the sparring video and that is why sparring is subjective but maybe slightly more accurate if both guys are training for a fight. Mayweather was winded against Spadafora because he did not have a fight coming up at the time. Spadafora had one coming up in 10 days at the time. If one guy has a fight in 3 months and another in 10 days, it can make a difference. But at least the arrogant Mayweather got humbled that day. He was the one calling out Spad and Spad accepted.
My two favorite fighters.I would favor GGG by KO at 154 or 160.I think Canelo can beat any other fighter at 154 including Mayweather, Lara or Martinez. I think GGG is the one fighter he can not beat. I think GGG could beat anyone at 154,160, and possibly 168 with Ward being the hardest guy to beat.
GGG is a beast but I think Canelo is young and strong and with the right strategy he might make it to the final bell or he can just go for broke and try to hurt GGG before GGG can hurt him.
First you have to get Canelo to start fighting guys in his weight division before you can even consider it. Canelo is to busy making a name for himself fighting guys he outweighs on fight night by as much as 20lbs. The only other coward to match him is Manny "King of Weight Drain" Pacroid.
Cotto schooled GGG during a sparing sesion...it was keep hush...hush to protect GGG.
Cotto beats Hyperjob Canelo and it will be close with GGG....
Can you prove that, or are you joking? I never heard anything about Cotto and GGG sparring.
Yeah... but there's a round by round of when they sparred, and GGG stiff legged Canelo with a body shot. It came across as Canelo had a good moment once, and GGG dominated the rest and peppered him with body shots and power jabs.
But whats important is that Canelo allegedly came after him the next round and did fairly well from what I recall (I dont believe the stiff leg was the last round and Im not sure if it was a body shot i think it was head). Wasnt this a few years ago too? Lol. And I think they sparred more than once but there was one that had a round by round by a guy who went to see them. GGG was clearly impressed though which seems rare for him lol
Canelo is an elite fighter today.
Ithink it would be a close fight with a slight advantage to Golvkin. However, I think Canelo should fight a couple times in MW before fighting GGG so that my opinion might change. Also, my opinion might change depending on how Canelo looks against FMJ.
it's probably hard to get sparring partners for a guy like ggg, and canelo is an elite fighter, so i wouldn't be surprised.
lol! rolmf!!! best joke in 2013!!!! wtfrol!!! lol!!! jajajajajaja!!!!
I watched a video where GGG was talking about Canelo and said he was the best fighter he ever sparred.
