He said he may be willing to fight Rios if he wins Pacquiao but he is only focused on his next fight because Bradley is a difficult fighter and he doesnt know how he will feel physically and menatally after the fight. also that he doesnt know who will win though pacmans skill and determination should be enough.
He saw heart from Bradley in the Provodnikov fight because he came back from being hurt 4 to 5 times. but also that ruslan has one style and didnt hit the body or move his head.
That's why its an Absolute Championship that i won in the ring, and it cost me alot of effort to beat the difficult and elusive Ukrainian Senchenko. At the end of the day we won it but it's a championship that wasnt gifted out of the ring.
LOL the guy is so elusive his name eludes JMM
Would love to see Rios get a boxing lesson from JMM. Rios would be missing all night and probably quit No Mas style.
Doesn't matter though. I think Pac does Rios like he did Ricky Hatton in the early rounds.
Rios wouldn't be hard pressed to land. The problem is what he'd take in order to land.
I was so sure Rios would beat Marquez not that long ago. Now that he's Hulkez though, Rios would probably get killed in what would still be fun for as long as it lasted.
interviewer: Nacho says, he expect Bradley to rehydrate alot.
Marquez: Bradley is a big fighter. I saw him yesterday and he looks like he is around 180 pounds. Imagine that, he will have to cut down. Well, i think the point here is not to give him any advantages and after the official weigh for him not to rehydrate past 10 pounds during the morning. In the evening it doesn't matter but no more than 10lbs.
Interviewer: how do you see pacquiao vs rios? you have fought pacquiao several times, how do you see it?
JMM: its going to be an important fight and interesting fight for the fans. We also have to see how pacquiao will return after the knockout, but the speed, boxing and power of pacquiao can be a determining factor in this bout.
Interviewer: I know you said you dont want pacquiao but would you like rios if you win your fight as well?
JMM: We will see, but lets not assume or begin to build scenarios. First thing's first and i have to defeat Bradley, who is a difficult challenge, but a challenge i like. Now after the fight we can begin to weave and think about the future.
Interviewer: What worries you most about Bradley? Because you said he is big in size and he has speed.
JMM: Nothing. I think instead of worrying I should occupy myself in training harder instead. I have to think about this as a difficult fight jut like all the other one's i have had, and simply train in order to get a victory.
Interviewer:How did you see Bradley in his last fight versus the Russian?
JMM:I saw him do well, he knew how to use his intelligence. A fighter at a young career of only 30 fights didn't allow to get connected by Provodnikov. Provodnikov had him in a bad place during 5 occasions but didnt know how to finish him, and well that's where Bradley gained experience and also showed his intelligence. I saw him win, alot closer than indicated but i did see him win. I have to take advantage of those points which are very important, also Provodnikov didnt go for the body. Provodnikov is a come forward fighter and doesnt move his waist so this is an important point for me.
Interviewer: JMM there's people with doubt over your 4th title. Some people say/think its Interim, clear up the situation so they can know you do have 4.
JMM:Its not Interim, when i fought in Mexico City it was indeed for the WBO Light Welter Weight Interim Belt, but when Bradley fought vs Pacquiao and wins with a controversial decision, Bradley decided to stay with Pac's belt, in turn they shifted me from Interim champion to Absolute Champion. That's why its an Absolute Championship that i won in the ring, and it cost me alot of effort to beat the difficult and elusive Ukrainian Senchenko. At the end of the day we won it but it's a championship that wasnt gifted out of the ring.
interviewer: well, is there any other motivation after and if you beat bradley to continue in boxing?
JMM: I dont know, we'll see how i feel after October 12th when i'll be facing a difficult, fast, and strong foe. Then we will see how i will feel physically, which will be important.
Interviewer: Do you expect Bradley to stand and trade with you like he did versus Provodnikov?
JMM: Hopefully he does but if he doesnt then i will have to look for him. In this case this fight is a lot like chess. I have to know where its more convenient to go in, how to go about it and such. Strategy is very important as well.
FULL TRANSLATION. LOL.

ofcourse he is ...he aint down if pac wins tho ...lol
I came here knowing someone would make some comment alluding to JMM ducking Manny, and wasn't disappointed. I expected to at least get to the second or third post before that got thrown in :lol1:
Your right I remember now. I think Marquez turned it down because he wanted a PPV fight.
The Pac fight? Man, that date was like a week after Pac/Bradley too.
Cowboy Stadium? That would have been a nice crowd there.
If his last fight was PPV against Fedchenko and Rios against Abril, then Arum should have no problem validating this as a PPV. I know it was because they couldn't get an HBO date, but still
No, like Arum had a date in COwboys stadium and even the establishment was trying to bring them there for a fight.
I forgot who happened though

I know the fighters were tossing out each others names and all but JMM was GBP at the time. He switched to get the 3rd Pacquiao fight. But Rios was still fighting at LW 2 years ago so it couldn't of been that realistic.

My question is... weren't they supposed to fight 2 years ago?
rios team called him out .. but the only good fighter jmm was willing to fight then was pacquiao ...coz he felt he was too small above 135
khan called him out too ....memo boosted jmm's confidence

It's actually a good match up for JMM. But im worried he's going to get hurt if he doesn't retire soon. He's smart, well spoken, and knows the sport. He could easily become a promoter, or even a commentator for the Spanish stations. I don't want to see this guy become a vegetable.
