Im Mexican, and going for Canelo and give him a good shot, but people sound like straight haters already counting him out and saying Floyd drained him. He's been a pro since 16 or 17 and is a grown man, if he decides to fight at 154 losing 2 extra pounds shouldnt be much of a struggle. This is why i respect fighters like Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez etc...guys who can easily fight at 140 or 135 but dont want to kill themselves and go off of their skills
What's the big deal here? Canelo weighed 172 on fight night against Trout, so he drained 18 lbs to make weight. There's 30 days before the weigh in and he's 15lbs from weight, he's at his fight weight already.
I doubt Canelo will be drained but my problem with this is that if and its more then likely Canelo loses this forum will be flooded with people saying it was the 2 lbs that did it and if Canelo weighed in at 154 he woulda beaten Floyd the same way with the Manny Cotto fight
so a cash cow isnt allowed to make the rules? and the challenger can take it or leave it, canelo said it wont be a problem or affect him
You don't understand boxing do you? Floyd Mayweather is the only cash cow in the history of the sport that cant make any rules.
For that fact, lesser known opponents should set the rules.
If losing 2 extra pounds made Floyd a zombie when fighting Marquez, he should have fought exclusively at 154 from that point on? faulty logic.
Sum real shlt

You should ask Floyd why he couldn't make 143 to fight Marquez, His answer would have been I'll feel to drained and I can't have a lightweight knock me out
Canelo should have been fighting at MW a while ago in my honest opinion. Again I'm saying, shouldn't Canelo's team have tried to workout a rehydration limit instead? People are getting mad at Floyd, understandably so considering Floyd patted himself on the back referencing how he fought Oscar and Cotto at their comfortable weight...but lets not ignore the fact that Canelo is so much bigger than Floyd.
Floyd could have fought Oscar and Cotto at 160 it wouldn't have made a difference cause both were shot fighters Canelo is a up in comer who close to his prime. I see you don't understand the sport

Actually he needs to fight at 154, hes only 23 years old and some dude that 14 years older will only fight him at a catchweight?
Imagine fighting someone whos 14 years younger than you and not only that, but you will only fight him at a catchweight. That pathetic real talk.
Young people in their prime are supposed to be able to beat up older ones, dummy. The advantage is with youth.
Couldn't you beat up your grandpa if you were to fight him?

That's nonsense by the way.
