Last I saw him, he was knocked down in the 9th round by Caleb, but got back up to win. He was extremely emotional after that fight because I think it was the first time he'd been knocked down and hurt badly, but ended up surviving (unlike vs Abraham, Froch, Pavlik, etc).
Then I see he had another stoppage win in 2 rounds late last year, but I have heard nothing for this year.
He may be done as a legitimate threat based on "he is who he is" limitations, but he seems like a good guy.
Am surprised that none of the big names wanna fight taylor,,,,
He is a big name,, past his prime,, can be ko'd,,,
I cant believe that quillen, ggg, serg, murray, sturm, geale, hell even danny jacobs,,,
I think taylor is done, but he still is good for one last cash-out fight...
actually danny jacobs vs taylor would be a nice fight for both and the winner can get quillen
Anyone that was a good enough technically skilled fighter to do how he did against Hopkins twice deserves respect.
He should have really worked on his conditioning and legs post the Pavlik bouts.
I wish he'd have beaten Froch as he deserved that break and was way up on the cards. As for losing to Abraham, I think the KO's effected him mentally. Hope he gets some ok wins though.
