did oscar dela hoya really win the fight against tito trinidad

I remember feeling disgusted watching the decision live, I agree it was disgraceful that DLH ran the last 3 rounds but he had done more then enough to get the decision. I thought it was funny how Tito got a huge parade and they stopped the Island for what looked to be a robbery. I don't blame the PR people though, they probably bet on Tito so getting a September Christmas present must have been nice.

He COULD OF won the fight, But he didn't. How many Rounds from 1-8 You guys gave De la hoya? I can't wait to read it. IMO neither guy deserved the win. I had the fight a Draw.

Oscar won 4 of the first 6 rounds and then took, I think the 7th. I believe that all 3 judges gave Trinidad the last 4 (9-10-11-12) and 2 of the 3 gave him the 8th. I gave Trinidad the last 5 (8-9-10-11-12) It was a very close fight but Oscar was certainly done after the 8th. He took a very heavy body shot in the 5th which bothered him (this was his weak point) and Trinidad changed his tactics from only headhunting to more bodywork. I thought it was very poor show of Oscar to try to put the blame on his team. NO TEAM will tell their boxer to run for the last 4-5 rounds. There's a big difference between "boxing" him and "running". Oscar ran like an Olympic track star.

YES HE DID! Because I did not like Oscar back then and wanted Tito to win I use to argue that Tito won, but after watching the fight a few times years later...Oscar Won That Fight! But then again Don King was Tito's Promoter, so that fight was probably in the bag for Tito before the first bell lol

Oscar didn't deserve to win that fight. He boxed great for 8 rds n then ran, he literally ran for the last 4 rds. F*ck him, that was horrible. Oscar was better then that.

according to my dad, trinidad won. but he scores the fight for anyone that comes forward or is considered a "puncher". he thought chavez beat whitaker and the only controversey was that they only gave chavez a draw. also scored mayweather vs guerrero for guerrero. some retarded score like 116-112 ghost.
