To all the people postin... apprechiate it ya'll! Looks like enough homework for me to study on!
On a sidenote, judging from everyone's posts, it looks like Money May comes up as the most skillfull fighter all around.
I am doing current boxers only
Footwork - Pac, he became the great in this era due to perfecting his movement via his prime
Balance - andre ward
Jab - Wlad
Right-cross - hmm tough one, gotta go with Floyd I would say, the guy does not even jab these days, his right cross is just as accurate
Hooks - Tough one, not really impressed with many boxers who specialize in hooks at the moment
Overhand-punches - Again, currently are there many out there these days? a few boxers use these a bit I suppose, floyd, martinez, marquez and I think ggg at times, maybe maidana?
Counter-punching - Definitely Marquez, pound for pound best counter puncher I would say, floyd is a close second
Head-movement - Canelo
Slipping punches - Floyd
Cutting off the ring - Pac
Ring Generalship - Floyd

Current boxers
To the best of my knowledge
Thanks for the quick reply's... lookin good peeps, very interesting choice of fighters... i'm curious to see wich fighters will be chosen more frequently.. weather it be all-time or the current-crop.:boxing:
current crop of fighters... since if we were considering all-time, i think our lists would be pretty similar. but im sure current crop would bring debates.
Footwork - pac (in & out + lateral movement); rigo
Balance - ward / bute
Jab - cotto / wlad (solid piston-like); trout (nice busy pace)
Right-cross - wlad / vitali (simply devastating)
Hooks - matthysse (scary power) / canelo (hook to the body is art)
Overhand-punches - stevenson... i guess. or maidana
Counter-punching - floyd (consistently impeccable) / jmm (landed the most perfect counter against pac)
Head-movement - sergio
Slipping punches - ?
Cutting off the ring - matthysse / GGG
Ring Generalship - sergio
let the debates begin. i honestly couldnt pick just 1 for some categories.
Footwork - Floyd Mayweather
Balance - ?
Jab - Larry Holmes
Right cross - Thomas Hearns
Hooks - Mike Tyson
