Joshua certainly looks like someone who can put it all together and be the next big thing in HW. Of course it's very early to say anything, but kid's mindset seems just right to me.
I am looking forward to see him in the future. Wilder-Joshua down the road would be a great fight IMO.
I have nothing against AJ, but I don't like the fact that people are dragging in Mayweather's name when discussing him and saying Mayweather is jealous etc... The fact is Mayweather is a proven top ten ATG and AJ hasn't barely scratched the surface to reach the heights of Mayweather. I would understand if Mayweather resented how everything he accomplished is being brushed aside and glossed over when talking about AJ, but he's not jealous just realistic. He knows it takes time to get established, HBO had to almost forcibly acknowledge he was great after 30 or more fights and great wins.
As it stands right now AJ fans have to be the biggest bandwagon riders to date, they want the glory and adulation TODAY and woe to anyone who dares question their emperor's supremacy.
It's crazy how quickly AJ progressed. A lot of scepticism about him before he turned pro.
I liked him since the first long interview I watched, and I truly believed he will be something quite special.
Although he just beat ATG HW in Wlad, he is still hungry, he is still not satisfied with his performance + he gives the credit and respect to everyone, he is genuine and a class act.
He welcomes the Wlad's rematch and me as a huge Wlad's fan can't see it being anything else than an early stoppage for Joshua.
Three years later, I like him even better.
Yeah he seems a level-headed sportsman with a good work ethic.
Technically, from what I saw at the Olympics I think he needs to tighten up on his defence which at times appeared very open.
