DARREN BARKER has turned to yoga to cure his fear of injuries and help him win a world title.
Barker, 31, challenges Aussie Daniel Geale for the IBF world middleweight belt in Atlantic City on Saturday week.
The Barnet bruiser has been plagued by a variety of injuries in a 26-fight career in which he has lost just once.
So he has been using yoga disciplines in the build-up to his clash with 32-year-old Geale.

Close fight
This is going to be a great fight, and I think Gealey will win a close decision.
His work rate will be a bit much for Barker at the end of the fight.
Well matched fighters... Can't wait!!!
GG has Stevens to worry about now. We didn't forget about the Hendrix body shot that counted you out. Do some situps GG.
Just in case any of Golovkins potential opponents haven't heard yet, I think the news needs broadcasting:-AIM FOR THE BODYSHOT!!!
The evidence is clear - Golovkin (unlike every other boxer) can be stopped by being punched hard in the body - The Green Kryptonite has been found.
Point noted Daggum....
...if Geale v Golvokin happens to take place any time soon you'd best scroll down to the Fantasy Fights section of our estimable board.
Heart says please let it be Barker's night; brain says methodical, super-fit and bombproof Geale.
I suspect that Geale might be one of those champions we'll have to
grudingly learn to love and respect.
He's not exciting, not a huge, colourful character but he's got the mental toughness and boxing know-how to grind out the defences and do what is required to keep the belts.
Hopefully Barker turns on all the floodlights and show-stopping fireworks and boxes 'grinder' Geale to a stand still with his speed, flair and aggression.
yes and that is to duck golovking!
I just can't see Barker winning. Geale is just too busy a fighter. The good thing is that he won't be fighting a southpaw. Barker just hasn't faced the fighters that Geale has. He did ok against Martinez, but he didn't win and has no relevant wins on his resume. He will have to use his size and reach and box. Geale wants to get inside and rip. Should be a decent fight.

I'd like Barker to win and I think it'll be close, but Geale is no mug and has an excellent workrate. Barker is going to have to land the real quality work and hope the judges value quality over quantity to get a decision. Can't see either fighter stopping the other.
Two top middleweights in a 50/50 title fight that could set up a future unification fight on HBO, I'm surprised this fight isn't getting more attention
Yeah I barely heard about it. Was considering buying tickets to go lol

It really is an excellent contest. The middleweight division gets looked over a lot, but it is a hotly contested division. Apart from GGG, most of the fighters (Geale, Barker, Macklin, Murray, Sturm, Chavez, and Martinez) are closely matched which make for very intriguing fights.
Don't forget Cleverly vs Kovalev is on the same night. Great boxing to look forward to next weekend. From a British perspective, it's my most anticipated night of the year.
