Who wins: Miguel Cotto vs Juan Manuel Marquez
I'm not sure Marquez gets through Bradley, but if he does, Cotto is next.
Who wins?
I think Cotto takes Marquez.
figured the Cotto cheerleader would come in here, both of you idiots cant even refute what I pointed out.
Its all about the money ya dumb **** :chairshot que no comprendes??

its not going to happen, Cotto may want it but no way in hell is Marquez going to move up in weight again.
what is it, that you, you soap-dodging faak, are pointing out? that marquez wouldn't go up in weight to make the most money out there he possibly can, because he said he wouldn't go up in weight for a fighter not named cotto? you can't really be that stupid ... wait up, you were part of the z-clan - so you are that stupid.
because never in the history of sports has a guy gone up in weight to get more money. :fing02:
Cotto is small at 154. He has a reach of 67'' and stands at 5'7 fighting bigger, stronger, taller guys. Trout had a reach of 72'', Lara and Martinez have longer reaches than that. If Cotto can make 147 then Roach should tell him. For a guy of Miguel's size and reach, he has done incredibly well.
I've always wondered this ever since Marquez handled Pacquiao at just under 147. Both Marquez and cotto are 5'7" but cotto is just naturally a way heavier man. It's kind of like the difference between Floyd and canelo. They are the same size but Canelo is just naturally a much thicker and heavier fighter. I'm not sure. Cotto may be a bit too strong and then I remember Marquez's accurate combinations when counter punching and I get stuck on who might win.
If they fought at 147 then I give Marquez a better shot.
Shiett had me Rollin'

I honestly think the rehydration clause was I response to arguing older testing. Like baya said, someone a vulnerable and worth as much money as Cotto is hard to turn down.

by "out" i meant he'd get the W. cotto got a sick chin, son.
i too, think that cotto lasts the full 12, but if he gets wobbled by jmm late in a fight .... bet that jmm gets the t/ko.
True, Cotto does not respond nearly as well as JMM does to being hurt. I just really want to see how it plays out, zero doubt this would be the Fight of the Year. In a big PPV fight, that is good for the sport.
Cotto's chin is really underrated, even if JMM hurt him, he'd last 12, no doubt about that.

you've not seen the latest pac fight i take it ;)
man, after further analysis - i'm POSITIVE that jmm takes cotto out in a fight.

I'm just saying if it's a clean fight - no cheating - Cotto has it. What evidence is there that Lil Marquez is juicing??
i think you meant "isn't" juicing. if so, i mean, what evidence do we have that cotto never juiced? but alas, questions have never swirled around mig's camp about ped's or any of that and cotto's never been associated with a proven cheater like memo which resulted in his looking like the hulk, either.
Definitely. I think he may knockdown Marquez. I just don't know if Cotto can keep it up for 12 rounds. I feel Cotto's skin will show it too, he marks up quite bad.
He seems to fade after 8-9 and I feel hes lost a step.
I just see Marquez grinding him down.
8 maybe 10 I feel Cotto would perhaps nick it but in a 12 rounder I've gotta go with Marquez.
Hes a bit wrong for Cotto. I can just see him roping Cotto in and teeing off on him something awful, I just don't think he can miss the uppercut here. Little half-step back & hes really going to tee off. Cotto shows when hes hurt & feeling it and Marquez is a finisher and will sense that.
Not sure about Cotto against volume & counterpunchers as well combination punchers.
I think myself Cotto is better with Diaz in his corner (is it Diaz?) he just looks that bit sharper & crisper and seemed to box more intelligently & use his jab to great effect.
Totally agree on the uppercuts and if he hurts Cotto, Miguel hasn't shown anything like Marquez's recuperative ability, he slows down massively when hurt. But I've also stated before, I think Cotto's chin is MASSIVELY underrated. Marquez can punch, but I feel Cotto can take his fastball a few times.
Cotto's stamina, especially if it's at 147 or even 150 CW, has to be a question mark also. I do like how Cotto fought under Diaz, but sometimes he was too passive and Diaz put a lot of emphasis on scoring and moving, something that he can do, but isn't really his best look IMO. He can box, but he needs to stand his ground and slug it out at times too.
Would be a great fight and I really hope it happens next.
im going by what hes said in past interviews. Don't you remember just recently he wanted a rehydration clause against Bradley? what makes you think he would move up in weight again?
