Now don't get wrong, Floyd looked solid against Guerrero. He won a wide UD in my opinion, and defensively he looked sharper than most of his recent fights.
But......I really feel like he didn't look as fluid when throwing his punches, I don't know. I was re-watching it again this morning, and he didn't look as flouid throwing the right hand as he did against Ortiz and Cotto in my opinion. Was his overall performance better, yes.
Anyone think Mayweather looked a little less fluid throwing his punches against Guerrero??? He still landed a ton and won, but he didn't look quite as fluid in my opinion.
wtf does mike tyson weighing 100lbs at one stage have to do with anything?
the 150lbs claim is nothing but empty rhetoric from canelo camp in order to entice floyd to fight. The righteous thing for floyd would have been to face canelo at full 154lbs since he did the same to cotto and oscar.
Can you name another 2x champion that asked a fellow champion in the same division to come in at a catch weight?
Go ahead ill wait.
Manny started at 106lbs and is on his 8th or 9th division. Floyd is taller and bigger than manny and started at 130bls. Manny trashed Margarito who was damn near a super middle weight and manny suffered broken ribs and vowed never to go above 147bls.
What's worse, floyd was a total hypocrite bashing pacquiao for catchweights then in turn having the same amount of catch weights as pacquiao has had their entire career.
"I want to face my opponents at their best. Not drain them with catch weights like some other people."
-Floyd during Cotto promotion
Rios punishes himself to make 140lbs so he can take advantage of his size against smaller fighters at 140bls. You thinking Manny "brining up" rios to 147 as some serious detriment to rios is downright asinine. Rios will be fighting at 147 from now on.
Actually you can. People do it all the time.
You act like Floyd's girlfriend defending him all the time.
You make some good points here but this is the only catch weight that Floyd has done also pac is asking for drug testing for his next fight so I would say he is as much of a hypocrite as Floyd is at this point! I think your forgetting the age difference between them! I think that is the main reason for the catch weight imao and I don't see anything wrong with that because canelo is so much younger!
Yeah of course. Defending one and praising the other. I can see right through your s**t homie. As can anyone who's reading your garbage.
Floyd has no trouble making 147, so he should move up to 154 for the rest of his career???
C'mon. Even a dumbass like you has to see how stupid your argument sounds.
Oh and Canelo used to fight at 147 man. He weighed like 153 against Trout, Cotto weighed 146 against Clottey. Both come down about 1 lb. But it's so different of course....
Dude did you even read any of the verbal beat doiwn Kenny stylez just gave you??? He's a two time fuking 154 pound champ and fought twice at the full weight limit thats not a lie or something Kenny just made up it's a motherfuking fact you dumb motherfuker!
Oh by the way Kenny is my new favorite poster!!!! Good job smacking down these two Mongofloyds with basic logic and facts!!!
This........................
People hate on Guerrero but he didnt waver or blink in the midst of taking a massive ass whipping, he was locked in and ready for whatever. That Guerrero beats 90% of other WW's
I agree! Guerrero will give any other ww big problems in the ring! I hate how people discredited Guerrero after that fight calling him a bum because he lost to the best fighter of this generation!
Shows you how much i think of Floyd now dont it. Ill pick anyone to beat Floyd.
Then you are not a boxing fan...a$$clown...you are a hater. There are plenty of boxers i hate and even I know when they can beat someone I like.
His weigh in weights have been bs for a few years now. Floyd used to look like a skinny Broner at welterweight, not the case anymore.
Floyd stays at welter cause he can beat most.
Who cant he beat at 154? He's about to face the number 1 guy there.
why not fvck face?
as you get older you retain more weight. 154 is a natural weight for floyd.
He's fought twice there already and had no problems. If floyd fights at 154lbs he never has to worry about making weight. All he has to do is train for the fight and not to train to make weight unlike other regular 154lbs who have to train to make weight.
Kinda like pacquiao at 147.
how is it the same? Floyd was already a 2x champion at 154lbs when he asked for a catch weight vs canelo. Pacquiao only fought a shot oscar 147lbs and didnt even come close to making 147lbs. The cotto fight was Pac's first real fight at 147lbs and cotto the previous fight weighed at 146lbs for the clottey fight. Has Canelo ever weighed in at 152lbs?
How is that even the same as the Pacuqiao/cotto fight?
Can you name me another boxer in the 100 plus year of the history of this sport that was a 2x champion in one division asking a fellow division champion to come in at a catch weight?
Ill wait. thanks in advance.
yea not the same at all. totally different and for you to conflate the two is just dishonest and stupid.
Yeah of course. Defending one and praising the other. I can see right through your s**t homie. As can anyone who's reading your garbage.

I agree with you but only for the first four rounds, then he got back into his rhythm. Those first few rounds he looked stiff and a little old.
yeaaa because that's such a wide gap lmfaaaooo.
pacquiao started at 106lbs and is now at 147.
duran started at 118lbs and won at 160lbs.
georges carpentier went from 112lbs to 175lbs.
tons of fighters have scaled more weight classes in far more renounced fashion that floyd's "trek" from 130lbs to 154lbs.
lmfaaoo your feeble attempt to defend floyd's catch weight.
pathetic.
Wasn't defending the CW dip s**t, I was saying Floyd shouldn't move up and campaign only at 154, like that guy was implying.
Floyd-Canelo being at 152 is like Pac-Cotto being at 145. Cotto/Canelo only coming down 1 lb from their previous weigh in and will be big as hell on fight night. Both get credit for me. The problem is people like you, who most likely praised Manny for beating Cotto at 145, but will hate Floyd for fighting Canelo at 152.

The only thing I noticed is Floyds face being opened for a hard hook counter, everytime he ducks under he pops up with his hands down and pops his head up wide open for a counter punch, Guerrero wasn't fast enough to capitalize on it, This is Canelo's only chance of winning try and capitalize on that when Floyd does that roll under move where he pops out with his hands down

This is full of sht , you cant compare any 2 fighters as far as growth goes because everybody grows at different rates , Mike Tyson weight 100 lbs at one stage .
The CW is as simple as Floyd is a lot smaller and Canelo called him out at 150 , Floyd don't owe him nothing so he called him on the 150 offer and compromised at 152 and Canelo will have near 20 lbs on him at fight time , give the man a bit of credit Manny would not fight Canelo at 152 if his life depended it , Id like to see Floyd bringing Rios up to 147 and Manny fighting Canelo at 152 and I bet my life your singing a different tune and you would hate on Floyd for such a cherry pick like he stole your girlfriend .
At least hate with some consistency , Ive said it a million times you cannot hate on Floyd and praise Manny .

I can see the ageing very clear , Floyd is abit scratchy or jittery in his movements now , Guerrero is a slow handed fighter and Floyd had been out for awhile , I think Canelo is very dangerous right now because of size and fast hands but Floyd having 2 fights will help his reflexes a lot , but yes Floyd is definitely starting to look his age , if he gets past Canelo and then stays at 147 he wont be beat .
I don't know man i just don't belive it, I was expecting him to look smaller than Ortiz who has them chicken legs. Both Ortiz and FLoyd are top heavy but Ortiz was not bigger than Floyd.
Ortiz was vastly bigger than Mayweather that is clear for the eye to see.
He outweighed him by 14 lbs unofficially and it's clear to identify.
Claiming otherwise is nothing but denial.
He came to the ring unofficially at 150 for the Ortiz fight.

Has Floyd ever weighed himself after a fight?
Floyd stans are saying he still weighs the same amount of weight he did as when he first stepped up to welterweight and still weighs the same after the weigh ins after all these years...but you compare how he looks in his first welterweight fight next to his recent welterweight fight and you know he doesn't weight the same as he first entered the welterweight division. You know how easy it is for Floyd to gain weight after a meal after he weighs himself? He's easily close to 160 than to 147 during fight time.

I ment the weight Floyd says hes in on fight night.
Well, that isn't what I meant.
Mayweather has never weighed in more than 151 lbs.
He was officially weighed by the WBC a month prior to his fight with Guererro at 148 lbs.
That fighter doesn't belong at 154 lbs.

So a guy who started at 130, weighs no more than around 150 max on fight night, belongs at 154??? Wow.
I guess Victor Ortiz belongs at Super Middleweight....
His weigh in weights have been bs for a few years now. Floyd used to look like a skinny Broner at welterweight, not the case anymore.
Floyd stays at welter cause he can beat most.
What? How are they BS?
That's the Official day before weigh in.
I don't think a guy who has never weighed in more than 151 lbs and was 148 a month prior to his last fight belongs at 154.
