What would need JMM to put himself as the no.1 mexican boxer ever?
1- A win over Bradley
2. Another vs Manny
3. A win over guys like, Mathysse, Rios, Alvarado??
1, 2 or 3? or the 3 options?
Your toughts :fing02:
I agree that Chavez would have beat Pacquiao as well. JCC's kryptonite was slick boxers, but if you tried to bang with him you were getting put to sleep.
Marquez would've beat him at 130
Resume wise. If he beat acouple more top guys he'll match and surpass Senior
its saturday, you are probably drinking. chavez puts him down and out.

bradley and another strong win(matthysse-garcia winner for example) should do it, ..that would basically mean that JMM had 3 of their combined top 4 wins...
Head to head, JCC was too durable for Marquez though...I dont think he couldve taken the punishment a prime JCC dished out...
People forget JCC actually had some skills and defense :/... Why does every scenario seem to indicate he was like Margarito? JCC probably stops him... JCC beats both Pac and JMM.
@135-147 I got Pac beating JCC and JCC beating JMM from 126-147

you cant be serious.
Chavez Sr has a much deeper resume then Marquez. No way is he greater then him
Not to mention Marquez makes Chavez look like Sweet Pea compared to him.
Marquez loves to try and fire back and he would get stopped for sure, will problably urinate blood for months.
Sr. doesnt have a single win better than Marquez Pacquiao ko win. Marquez also has more division titles than senior.
To say its not even close is a falsehood.
btw,
Salvador Sanchez >>>>> Sr.
People just love to overprice and put on ridiculous untouchable pedestal a famous name.
With memo's "milkshakes", i would take JMM over Sr. at any weight.
Sal Sanchez died at 23, you really think his short career surpasses Chavez's accolades over a 25 year career? Sal Sanchez is more a what if story...

would have looked like Diaz vs Marquez but 10 times more epic
i hope jmm gets a rematch with money.. i believe he would do a lot lot better..maybe a win over bradley via ko...then fights garcia mattyhsee winner...fights floyd...providing he leaves tp
I don't think Marquez has the tools to beat Floyd.. his feet are a bit too heavy too.
You're remembering it wrong.
Marquez was beating Barrera that round pretty bad it was a 10-8 round in favor of Marquez at that point but Barrera countered him and Marquez's glove touched the Canvas. Before Marquez could get up Barrera hit him again while he was on the floor. It wasnt a scenario where the adrenaline is rushing and he got carried away. No he saw Marquez was down, he went up to him and then swung and hit him.
He coud've been DQ'd on the spot (other fighters have been DQ'd for less) but the Ref ruled the knock down a slip (mistakenly) and he deducted a point from Barrera for the illegal punch. Which swung the round in Marquez's favor.
Even with that 2 point swing Marquez still won the fight comfortably. It wasnt close enough for the point swing to make a difference but because of the point swing and Barrera crying. People remember the fight closer than it actually was
I think they have a repley at 30:00, Marquez seemed badly hurt from it and your right that Barrera could have been DQ'ed (ref's call) for hitting Marquez after he was down, but it was still a knockdown and the ref should have given an eight count. Lederman, though I often disagree with him, gave it to Barrera who also edged JMM in the compubox numbers. I definitely need to rewatch this fight again though.
I thought Barrera beat him, I believe at one point in the fight Barrera hurt and dropped Marquez but the ref got in the way and deducted a point from Barrera for no apparent reason. My impression was that Barrera got robbed in that fight but I honestly haven't watched the fight in long time.

There's no scenario where both would face each other in their primes. Marquez was already past his psychical prime when he reached 130. He was already 34 years old, and no Barrera didn't beat him that's retarded
No he didn't...

Jmm got dropped by juan diaz, chavez would take his soul.
No he didn't...
I actually thought Barrera beat him; prime vs prime, Chavez would have probably stopped him.
I think chavez would beat him,, but not stop him,,,
jmm is like a horror movie monster that you just cant kill.....
i dont see anyone stopping jmm
