Duran's talking more through his ego as a fighter when he talks about mayweather. It itches him that he isn't 30 years younger right now to take floyd out.
read my sig and tell me that ...go on i have the links and all fool...You have links that these guys called Floyd a *****. I missed them. Go ahead, post them lol.
We did this yesterday though didn't we? We got into a one sided pissing contest that you never win. Go ahead, post the links.
You're the only one calling Floyd a *****. I would too if I were a Pac fan. That still doesn't change the fact that Pac got ktfo, and knocked unconscious in 3 ko losses.

migaledut;13609333]He probably said that cause he was talking to the filipino media hahah I saw and interview with duran the other day in spanish where he got REALLY pissed off when they asked him about a computer simulated fight ESPN had done between him and pacquiao where pacquiao knocked him out. Like it hurt his pride bad. He went off and (literally) said "PACQUIAO! that's one of those betamax they're talking about (yeah, he did really say betamax lol), pacquiao doesn't whoop me, not even now that I'm old does he whoop me! Listen to what I'm telling you, I prepare myself well and I give him a lesson. He doesn't beat me, I'm telling you, he doesn't beat me. He doesn't have experience to beat me. He has fortitude? I also do. He has punching power? I also do. I know how he fights. He doesn't beat Roberto Duran, I'm telling you. Not even now that I'm old does he beat me!" Then the Reporter asks him: "What do you say to the people at espn that did that?" (Duran answers) "That they're goofy! I tell espn that what they're talking about is all bull****! I wish they would get me a fight with him at this age that I have! I give him a boxing lesson so he learns!" then he walks away and all of the sudden comes back to the reporter and says "and be careful with mosley! Watch out with mosley cause he ain't no fish! listen to what I'm saying! Watch out!" that was when pacquiao was about to fight mosley. And to a certain extent duran was right. Mosley neutralized pacquiao like none of his recent past opponents had, just by moving to his left and jabbing him. And mosley fought that fight with one leg. I think the mosley that fought canelo would have given pacquiao a much tougher fight. Anyways, here's the video of the duran interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhwEA4-bhAc
the thing is , he was'nt ..kevin iole of yahhoo sports reported the same thing ...lol
you floyd fans get with the program ...when atgs's call floyd a b1tch , you gawd damn know it's true coz they get nothing for saying such thing ...and it's too obvious....You're the only one calling Floyd a *****. I would too if I were a Pac fan. That still doesn't change the fact that Pac got ktfo, and knocked unconscious in 3 ko losses.
Here is an interview with Duran from 2009 before the Pacquiao Cotto fight, when almost everyone was picking Cotto to knockout Pacquiao, Duran was one of the few who said Pacquiao would win. Reading this interview should tell you why he doesn't like Floyd, Duran sees himself in Pacquiao, and wanted Floyd to fight him bad. Duran even said he would have fought Pacquiao without question, and never understood why Floyd never took the fight.

LAS VEGAS – Legendary Panamanian boxer Roberto Duran sees himself in Manny Pacquiao, reason why he’s picking the explosive Filipino boxer to win over Miguel Cotto in their 12-round World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title fight Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
“It’s gonna be a tough fight, but I like Pacquiao," said the 58-year-old boxing legend dubbed “Hands of Stone."
“Pacquiao is very tough when he fights. He’s very strong. So I like him."

Like the Filipino pride, the Panamanian successfully moved up in weight. He began his colorful boxing career fighting as a lightweight, where he won his first world title. Later on, he climbed in weight and became champion in the welterweight, junior middleweight and middleweight divisions.
Now a bit plump on the side, Duran is best remembered for his classic wars with Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Hearns and Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
He retired from boxing in 2002, with a ring record of 103-16, with 70 KOs. Ring Magazine later named him the fifth greatest fighter in the last 80 years.
But it was his gung-ho, unrelenting ways of fighting that truly endeared him to hardcore boxing fans.
Just like Pacquiao.
“Pacquiao is a man that charges on. You can land one on him, but the next time, he won’t be there anymore. He’s a very good fighter," Duran said.
Despite Duran seemingly leaning on Pacquiao, he said the fight won’t be easy, stressing that while a knockout is a probability, the Panamanian admitted "I don’t expect one (knockout)."
"I’ll have Pacquiao by decision."

He isn't bashing Floyd. He's keeping it real. It's only his opinion. True boxing fans know that it would take a man to beat Floyd. Duran saying that this and that guy beats Floyd is jho. No big deal.
you floyd fans get with the program ...when atgs's call floyd a b1tch , you gawd damn know it's true coz they get nothing for saying such thing ...and it's too obvious....
I think Roberto is pissed at nobody taking care of Floyd. His hands must be itching because he probably knows exactly how to beat him. Just by simply roughing him up, hitting him everywhere, non stop and be able to take punishment while dishing it out. Roberto had the stamina, the power, the will and the ring IQ to do it.
There is a reason why Floyd ducked Margarito and the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight did not get made.
That's why I've written and some have laughed that Edwin Valero would have beaten Mayweather Valero was non stop and hit everything from your Knee to the back of your head
I have been noticing articles about Roberto Duran bashing Mayweather. I don't understand what he has against Mayweather. He isn't bashing Floyd. He's keeping it real. It's only his opinion. I'm sure a bit of it is envy, Duran is a great fighter but he was never able to reach the heights financially when compared to the other guys in his era particularly Leonard. Floyd is very similar in his sucess to Leonard and Ali etc. In fact I'd call him their financial successors. Butits been clear for some time he didn't like Floyd. He really doesn't seem to like Leonard much either.
Duran - Leonard 1 had the highest purse in boxing history. Even tho Duran made way less then Ray, He won the fight and then made more then Ray in their rematch, which again was the highest purse in boxing history, and i think his personal purse was the 2nd highest ever after ray's in their first fight. The guy made a ton of money, he was one of the highest earners and richest boxers in his era. I'm not really sure what you're implying bringing up the money. Ali and leonard had plenty of financial successors before floyd: Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, DLH etc
I don't see it as bashing its basically telling the truth. I don't see Duran really relating to a fighter such as Mayweather cause Duran embodied machismo as a fighter something that I don't see with Floyd
I have been noticing articles about Roberto Duran bashing Mayweather. I don't understand what he has against Mayweather.
He probably looked up some Mayweather fights on youtube and thought wtf? this bull****e is what they call PFP nowadays...and then he got mad.
bashing ?..i say calling it like it is ...
i think one reason why duran said what he said is becuase floyd sr ( who fought like his son) was a f0cking bum in his era ....

This is a sensible post as to why Duran's been bashing Mayweather. He's "itching" to go back in the ring and wants to do it himself.
Duran has also said that Pacquiao is trash and he'd beat him in his prime. This was after the 3rd fight with Marquez. Be was pissed after Marquez got robbed.
The video is floating around somewhere in here. I'm gonna look for it...
I would pay so much money to see Duran-Pacquiao. Yeah, Duran would kick his ass, but it would be a great fight.
