I probably just missed the thread/discussion, but talk about fantastic finishes! What John "The Gladiator" Molina did in that final round against Money Team member Mickey Bey - literally right in front of Floyd & Ellerbe - was pretty spectacular. So many lessons can be pulled from that fight. It would be in my top 5 list for FOTY, 2013. Extraordinary stuff.
Anyone want to jump in with their impressions?
Also, I do admire Bey for not just running in that final round since he had the fight won. Instead he came out swinging and looked great up until being caught with that left hook to the chin. I like the aggression, but ya gotta be careful! :boxing:
I think that was Mayweather wasn't it? Ellerbe on the other hand was pissed.
No, talking about Leonard Ellerbe. I'm positive. It's true, though, that when the ref called the fight he was angry initially at the stoppage. I understand this reaction, though, since of course he was pulling for his guy -- who had the victory in his grasp. Just a shocking, terrific finish.
Well, to be fair, it was shocking to EVERYBODY! And listen, I'm no fan of Ellerbe's, but I did see him enter the ring and congratulate Molina, which I thought was nice.

I'm not so sure what he was mad about though, just another steroid cheating scum that got laid out.
