Europeans Cheating Americans: Nature Or Nurture?

On the heels of yet another blatant screwjob by a European official I feel it is necessary to examine why Europeans feel so compelled to screw over Americans any chance they get. Is it nature? Are they born resenting Americans? Or is it nurture? Is it taught to them over time by resentful family, friends and teachers? Two weeks ago in another British vs. American HW matchup on British soil the hometown fighter, David Price, was given what amounted to about a 13 second standing 8 count by a referee who wanted to keep him in the fight. He started a count at 1:21 and waved it off at 1:08. An 8-count... not even a 9 count. And it lasted 13 seconds. Very generous for a fellow Brit. Reverse the rolls and put an American in there and the ref waves off the fight a second early to give an undeserved win to a British fighter. Having two fights this close together, and having the referee treat the home/away fighters with such a glaringly blatant bias on both occasions really shows how sh*tty European officials are. Mostly English refs and German judges, though pretty much everyone involved is at least partially inept. The Russians are so dirty it's not even worth talking about. I don't believe for one second that it's accidental, so the question is where the resentment comes from that will allow a man to do something that will have a huge negative impact on the finances and career of a fellow man just because of where he was born. Nature or Nurture? It's psych 101.
