If he knocks out Canelo?
This is a straight up question... No side stepping... Yes or no?
"It's not going to happen" is not a yes or a no, that's side stepping.
I hate when people keep on saying that Floyd is fighting canelo at a catchweight. He's not. Canelo can come into the ring at whatever he wants or at least he will be at around 170. Does that really sound like a catchweight? people are already trying to discredit floyd's win. People are crying about 2 lbs that canelo has to come down but I haven't heard anyone cry abouyt that 20- 25 lb disadvantage Floyd will be at fight night proving once again that Floyd is always in a no win situation.
:pat: Floyd fans will say anything to protect their hero Floyd ........ the answer is YES it is a CW!
remi, it sure as hell is a catch weight. If the fight was at a top weight of 154 pounds, the weight Jr. middleweight world title fights are supposed to be fought at then it would not be a catchweight. Floyd is the defending WBA 154 pound world super champion in case you forgot or did not know that fact. Mayweather is making his challenger weigh in no heavier than 152 pounds and that is a catchweight. Maybe Floyd is starting a new weight class of 152 pounds he could call the Jr. Jr. middleweight devision. Do you believe Canelo can put on 20 pounds of weight in the 30 hours between the weigh in and the fight without doing himself harm? I would guess a gain of anything over 10 pounds would do Canelo more harm than good. Canelo will not out weigh Mayweather by 25 pounds in the ring. He might have a 10 or 12 pound weight advantage tops. Until Mayweather weighs in on fight night nobody knows what he really weighs in the ring. He said he weighed 150 pounds the night he fought Cotto even though he weighed in at 151 for Cotto. I don't believe that. Who loses a pound between the weigh in and the fight? Floyd is in a no win situation? Poor Floyd. He gets at least 32 million a fight. If Floyd feels he is too small to let a full sized Jr middleweight like Canelo weigh in at 154 pounds then he should vacate his 154 pound world title and fight welterweights.
Considering Floyd has only 3 KO's in 8 years (Mitchell, Hatton, Ortiz) and Canelo being a legit 154lber, and Floyd not having the healthiest of hands...I'd only come to one conclusion...

Truth hurts some I know but don't worry cause Sept 14th it all ends and hopefully your pain will go away.
The truth? You can't handle the truth!
Floyd is no monster. When was the last time he KOed someone? Knocked down someone? Please don't point me to the Ortiz SUCKER PUNCH.
Secondly, how is Canelo going to beat that guy you call a monster?
.
I think he probably would be. What if Canelo knocked Floyd out. Would he take Mayweather's place as the #1 PFP fighter in the world? How would Floyd handle being knocked out cold? He could use some humility.

Not really, I wouldn't be surprised, his power is underrated because he mostly wins by decision. The flaw in that logic is that people assume it's because he can't when it's more like he doesn't care to.

He is the best of this era and will be appreciated when he is gone.
1st ballot HOF, ATG, Top 5, maybe 3 D ATG and if he beats Canelo, who is my horse, then he is more of monster than he already his. Yes he is a monster already.
Doesnt matter who he fights, NSB will call it a cherry pick. Thats when you know hes a monster

Nope, im blaming it on the catchweight brah.
Hate all you want, but there is a catchweight being enforced by none other than th Catchweight King" Himself.:bottle:
Wait wait wait! I thought canelo's team brought up the catch weight so then how is Floyd the catchweight king?????
Yes, it would be very impressive but it's very unlikely. Floyd just doesn't sit down on his punches enough and throws one shot at a time. He rarely throws any combinations like he did in the lower weights. Add to the fact that Canelo will outweigh Floyd by 15+lbs and I just don't see it. If Floyd tries to get too aggressive, he might get caught with something. Floyd's mindset will be stick and move and cruise to the easy UD. The onus is on Canelo to cut the ring off and try to slow him down.
But to actually answer the question, yes he would be a monster if he KO's Canelo.
