It cracks me up when it comes to fighters "getting exposed"
Every fighter loses at some point,, wlad got exposed by brewster and sanders, manny got exposed by jmm, barrera got exposed by manny,, the list is endless.....
Getting exposed to me means when you are literally all hype and then get banged out in your first step up, much like dulorme, or that youngster vic just beat....
Brook is a legit contender and should get a crack at a belt.. Not saying he is a world beater, but def deserves the chance at a belt....
Brooke got all the talent in the world but he has been managed really badly by hearn..
Guy really needs to start picking up the level of competition...
Think he can go a long way
The way I view world class is whether that fighter fighting for a world title is justified.
Brook is worth a world title tilt in my opinion. All subjective though.
Brook is far too good for domestic and European level and has skittled over Saldivia and Jones now who a step below world level.
If he gets beat in a world title fight I'd be surprised if that was his one and only crack at world title too. I think he'll be at world level for a while. He's good, has a powerful promoter, and is exciting.
I assume you mean Jones?
But ok fair enough the guy was limited but Brook was doing what he had to do. His jab was working perfectly, he was knocking Jones around the ring with his right hand and Jones wasnt in the fight. If he doesnt lose stamina after that he stops him quicker and never gets in trouble.
Yeah my bad lol.
Beating Jones doesn't make you world class at all though.
No he wasn't, he was against Kell Brook.

Brook needs to sort some basic stuff pretty soon.
His stamina is poor. Though he has been inactive and has gone through two training camps so may have overtrained. But still the Brook from the first four rounds last night was world class, after that he was pretty average.
After that he needs to work out what hes going to do on the inside. He's not quick footed enough to stay away from inside guys, and his defense in there is very leaky. If i was his trainer i'd tell him to clinch, even though its against the rules. He does that against Jones then Jones barely lands a punch on him.
Other than that Brook is a decent fighter. Might not be the quickest but he has good timing, a sweet hard jab and good power. People writing him off against the massively overrated Alexander are jumping the gun a bit imo.

im pretty confident alexander would have beaten him. seems he knew it too. i dont even think brook is world level tbh. he does a lok of stuff good, but he does nothing great and he does some things horribly.
Exposed? I hate that word.
Exposed as what? He's a world level welterweight.
It is very likely he'll only lose to a champion when he does first taste defeat. That's hardly being exposed.
Brook doesn't trust his stamina it seems. He could've and probably should have got Carson Jones out of there in 3. He was hitting him at will and with every punch he threw for 3 rounds. If he stepped it up the ref would have had to pull the plug.
I'd pick Bradley to beat him. But I'd back him against Broner and Alexander.

If/when Brook fights a top fighter, will he get exposed?
I dont see how this is even a debate. Jones was able to get some work done yet again and his stamina is a joke.
Hes hust the next British hype job and its all coming crashing down the second he steps up.

Nope.
Very good fighter and he'll show it as he goes on. Great jab, beautiful combinations, good power and a very good skill set in general. Stamina still needs improving, but that's about the easiest issue to correct. Those first 3 rounds last night were a glimpse of what he can do, it was brilliant to watch his jab and combo's to head and body.
Exposed? Against who? Boxrec has him no 4 I believe. He's a good fighter. If he was American he'd be next in line for Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. He can hang with most of the top guys, and his skillset is better than guys like Alexander and Bradley.
Using Boxrec to determine who's the best? Are you kidding me? What has Brook done to be in the top 10, let alone number 4?
