Okay, so he says he wants to get paid right and that's a roadblock. He also said he doesn't see why he should make less than what Rios made when he fought him.
Rios made 1.25 Million in their last fight while he made 625k.
Alvarado's a good guy and he deserves better after beating Rios, but is his expectations too high?
Alvarado isn't a stranger to HBO either, I think he had the one undercard fight against Prescott then the 2 Rios fights.
Prescott purse was 75k
Rios 1 was 250k
Rios 2 was 625k
He's fighting in his home state now and will definitely bring the crowd, especially if they promote him as the elevated WBO champ.... but he shouldn't give his hopes too high if he's expecting more than 1.25 million.
They're paying him that much because they know they can pay him that much and get a away with it IMO.
Besides.... the exposure he's getting right now is great. He'll make over a million this year and gain more notoriety by being active
I completely agree..
Why can't you believe this??3G is still young bro,HBO has made mistakes in the past over paying fighters too early in their careers..Just look at Berto,I'm not saying 3G is like Berto..I'm just saying, let the guy work his way up..Nothing wrong with that..

I'm okay with a million, he deserves it. Didn't know the fight was going to be in Colorado, that's sure to draw in the home crowd. He had a nice following for both the rios fight
I don't think this is his big money fight and I can't see them giving him a million for it. But he's negotiating and he knows that it plays it correctly then there's no reason he won't get the winner of Pac-Rios next year.
But I wouldn't pay him more than 750k for this fight.
Im thinking $750,000. Still cant believe GGG only made $350,000 for his last fight. He better get at least 500k in his next fight.

Mile High deserves it..
Berto making a Mil guaranteed each fight and he's huff as hell..Mike Alvarado gave us back to back wars against Rios and always lays it all out in the ring..give the man 1.25mil I'm sure he'll seat quite a few in Colorado and HBO's ratings should be decent if they promote it a bit
As much as I agree with this post, from a business stand point(which HBO will approach this from)Mike does not commend this kinda money(not yet anyway)..Not that accomplished and not a big draw..I believe 700 to 800K is more then fair tbh..A mill is very(very)generous,1.25mill won't happen bro..
It sounds like Rios was over paid. Few fighters are making over a million a fight. How much is the Russian supposed to get for fighting Alvarado in his home town? Berto used to get a million or better every fight and I never could understand why he got paid so well. GGG is a hell of a fighter and he gets a small fraction of what Rios got.I have trouble understanding why some fighters get paid so much and other better, more fan friendly fighters get paid so little.
Of course he's overpaid.... Arum has been grooming him to fight Pac for some time now

Feel bad for Alvarado, hard to accept seeing the champ receive less for his next fight than the person he just beat (Rios). Wonder if he also feels like he should be the one fighting Pac?
He deserves to get paid, a fighter with his stlye puts their career on the line each time they step in the ring. If he stands his ground and passes on this fight it shouldn't be considered it a duck.

Bradley made 1.75 mill..Alvarado is not making that..I doubt he makes a mill..I can see him making 800k at most a mill..He is getting what Bradley made,he can forget it..
No way he should be making that much. If he's expecting just a couple k below that he's out of his damn mind
If golovkin got 350K, He deserves no more then 500K. Comparing himself to Bradley? This is a joke, and an obvious duck. This is providnikov we're talking about, he sounds like a fighter who's trying to cash out
I don't know, can't find anything.
Definitely over a million though

Give Alvarado 700 to 800K the fight get's done..HBO has more then enough budget for a great match up like this..This fight will get made,it's a steal for the price HBO will pay for it..
From Mike's Twitter ...
"Mike Alvarado @MileHighMike303 3h
Lets put it this way. I'm not gonna take A LOT less money to fight Provo than Tim Bradley did. I've been in war after war. I'm just as good."
What did Bradley make for the Prov fight?
