I am sure Lara would win that fight. Lara is one of the five best 154 pounders in the world in my opinion and Rosado would barely make the top ten. Lara has to much speed, skill and power for Rosado.
What makes him world class. Lara looks like crap anytime he fights a guy with a pulse. Molina, Martirosyan, and Angulo made him look ordinary to me. Rosado has skills and is a big jmw and is better than Martirosyan (who is another bum beater). Everyone thought Lara was going to put a clinic on Angulo and look what happened. Rosado beats Angulo in a rematch IMO and Perro turned the rematch down for a good reason. Rosado gives Lara a tough fight and could beat him. Its a 50/50 fight IMO.
You're right, Lara hasn't looked great against some of the better fighters in the division. What makes Landy a world class junior middleweight, however, is the fact that he's at least top ten, if not top five, in the division. Being ranked that high, by definition, makes him "world class." The same can't be said for Rosado. Not even close.
I actually like Rosado. He's a good young fighter. His lack of much amateur experience is the main reason for most of his early losses and he is steadily improving. In essence, he is learning on the job. I just don't see him beating Lara though. Lara is a well schooled fighter with good movement, a solid jab and he delivers a punishing left hand. Rosado has good pop as well but, as we saw in the GGG and Love fights, he doesn't let his hands go enough. Rosado's not going to turn into Angulo all of a sudden. He's not active enough, doesn't throw to the body enough, nor does he cut off the ring well enough. Lara proved to have a solid chin and resiliency against Angulo. Those question marks have been answered. Now I picture Lara taking on the top guys like Trout and Canelo. He is clearly among the best in the division.

This.
According to boxing scene Lara schools everyone, then he steps up and struggles.
I say it's a close fight against Rosado that can go either way.
I'm a Rosado fan but let's not get it twisted. He's gatekeeper at worst/fringe contender at best. Lara is world class. Not even an argument as to who wins.

Indeed. It's a compliment to Rosado that he'd even be considered to make the fight entertaining.
Ya I can agree with that. I think though if Rosado lands his hard straight right hand Lara could be in a lot of trouble.
You're talking about a "puncher's chance." I suppose Gabe has one, but who would bet on it? Landy took a couple of monster shots from a heavy hitter, got back up and went to right back to work both times.

I see it as a fairly easy Lara decision, like 7-3 in rounds
Gabe is a good fighter, but I don't think he has enough pop to hurt Lara. He will get some good work in, but I think Lara will control most of the action.
That's the problem, not many fighters can apply that kind of constant, relentless pressure. Angulo's stamina, tenacity and power are what kept him in the game with Lara...and almost brought home the gold. Rosado can't apply the kind of heavy, consistent pressure to trouble Landy, nor does Gabe have the skills required to pull a decision.

I agree Lara has by far the better skills but if Rosado pressures like Angulo did and stays on Lara's chest and lands some big shots he can put him down.

Cracked ? If anything he showed resilience that not many have to keep composure after getting hit with some monster shots you dont see coming that as you know are the worst to get hit by remember Pwilliams best chin ever til bamn 1 shot he didnt see coming sent him looking for penny's. If anything im more sold on Lara then i ever was before and even tho i liked the Lara willing to mix it up like he did with Perro he can easily coast his way to an UD with Gabe Rosado or anybody really he just tried to be fan friendly with Perro, but why take a step down in opposition tho? I would most deff criticize him for that.
