thats a very legit question! I'm not hating on Lucas but I haven't seen anything from him that would lead me to believe he would be competitive with Floyd. He has not lived up to the hype in his big matches.

Matthysse doesn't neutralize his opponents' offense in the way Maidana does, nor does he extend or tie his opponent up to cut their mobility, isn't as physically either. This is why even in some of his victories guys weren't struggling to slide out of the corner, Garcia had any easy time moving around. Matthysse does have better technique when throwing combinations, better conditioning, maybe more power but nothing that would stop Mayweather from freely doing what he likes. Very good assessment.
