Folks actually took this seriously. Floyd is not even a hard-punching welterweight and you want to compare him to a hard-punching middleweight! Newsflash: accuracy is NOT power! Surprise is NOT power! Elbows is not punching!
Newton’s second law of motion: F=MA. Power = weight * speed. Canelo has more weight behind his punches but less speed. Floyd rarely puts shoulder behind his punches but max speed. The Bad Intent Law: the more you mean it, the more it hurts. Test it. Hit your girl while you’re playing. Then hit her when you’re fighting. Then ask her when it hurts more.
Watch how many idiots end up in jail…
LOL!! that was ****ing great.
Maybe (floyd 147-154) hurt (Mosely at 147-154) to about the same effect .. as (Canelo 154-170) hurting (Mosely 154-160).
Remember more weight = less speed. 152 Could do Canelo good for more force behind his punches.
now we're going to take the word of a punch drunk cheater? :lol1:
We should ask him who hits harder Fraud or the Gatekeeper.
When he says the Gatekeeper lets ask Trout who hits harder. Canelito or the Gatekeeper. Then we will get an unbias analysis of power. Obviously The Keeper of Gates hits harder than Fraud and Canelo hits harder than the Keeper

which means Canelo hits harder than both
Ask him if the brickmaster hit harder. since mosley was the first to fight Margs without his loaded wraps im sure he'd know.
There are different types of power. There is a stinging type of power that faster fighters have(Mayweather, Judah) and then there is just sheer power, fighters with heavy hands(Canelo, Matthysse)
There is an interview out there with ODLH where he compares different fighters he's faced and their power.

Lol@ Gatekeeper. Some Funny ish!
he was lightin mosleys ass up! lol.......for a moment i thought they'd stop it.
i agree he was lightin mosley up.
i don't know how mosley stayed on his feet.

The dude interviewing Mosley seemed like a TOOL. I hate how he keeps cutting Sugar off.
Sugar looked kind of shook when they asked him about Guerrero. LMAOO!
If Sugar says Floyd hits hard then I believe him. Anyone with objective vision can see Floyd has some pop to his punches.
I also think that maybe Canelo doesn't hit as hard as people think either. He can punch, but I don't know if he's in the same league with guys like ADONIS STEVENSON and even MATTHYSE.
he was lightin mosleys ass up! lol.......for a moment i thought they'd stop it.
there was one moment in the fight where canelo did stun mosley pretty good...but the point is none of canelo's punches up to that point were deterring mosley from coming forward when someone like pac had mosley running scared ****less all night.
coming from the guy that claims pac is the hardest puncher he EVER fought.
well pac did knock him down clean with one punch and had him running scared for the rest of the fight....canelo couldn't even score one knockdown against mosley despite all the clean punches he was throwing and landing...
EXACTLY! finally somebody that understands. to say floyd & canelo "hit the same" is a rather crude generalization.
canelo has that thudding heavy hands that take its toll with time... but i wouldnt consider him a KO artist at all.
floyd on the other hand is a finesse fighter whos power comes from speed and timing.
tough comparison.
Seriously? Finally somebody understands? Yep, you and my boy Cuauht are the only two on the board that understand "power in accuracy" and the like.
The next time you make a misleading comment, I'll be sure to try and read your mind, so that I don't take it out of context.
canelo's power is vastly overrated imo...mosley was eating shot after shot from a 170+ lb canelo and never went down.
he was lightin mosleys ass up! lol.......for a moment i thought they'd stop it.
Of course, there's also technique to compound that F=MA equation that Newton neglected to factor in. There's snapping at the shoulders, elbows and wrists. Pacquiao is the only boxer I've seen utilizing the wrists, karate style.
he probably said that because floyd had a picnic with shane at the end he was hitting him with everything.... But I never saw such a deveasting shot to the ribs like the one canelo gave to shane... does someone have the gif it was montrous it even hurt me lol
As someone who boxed, I can tell you power is different. There are some fighters that sting you with speed, some have thudding hard punches that no matter where they land, they hurt.
The old saying that the punches that hurt you are the one's you don't see coming, is true. I believe that Mayweather hurts people because of his speed. I'm sure if you measured Canelo and Mayweather on a machine, Canelo would hit harder but Mayweather catches people by surprise.
His shots tend to shock you, Canelo seems to have more of a thudding shot.

Uh, OK.
I"m not even going to consider your "Vitali/Malignaggi" comparison as serious discussion, because it's beyond silly, and not even close to a Mayweather/Canelo comparison.
You're essentially saying "I don't need to be hit by Floyd and Canelo to know that Mosley is lying".
And I'm essentially saying "Mosley HAS been hit by Floyd and Canelo, and hiis opinion > NSB posters".
Mine makes a lot more sense, when you break it down.
nope. you still missed the point.
my point is shane clearly exaggerated about pac's punching power. so when he claims floyd/canelo "hit the same", i am less inclined to believe it. simple. why cant you grasp this concept?
vitali/malignaggi is an exaggeration indeed, but illustrates the point that i dont need to be in the ring to make an observation about impact of punches and their effect on their opponents. argument still valid. and this was in response to your remark and not to the topic. you clearly got things twisted.
and your point of "mosley should know better than NSB posters"... my response is OF COURSE he would. i dont think ANYBODY argues that. LOL. so what youre saying is a view i already share, which brings us back to the top.
you missed the point entirely.

I also box and this is absolutely true. Good post.
