Mosley Says Floyd And Canelo hit the same

Folks actually took this seriously. Floyd is not even a hard-punching welterweight and you want to compare him to a hard-punching middleweight! Newsflash: accuracy is NOT power! Surprise is NOT power! Elbows is not punching!

Maybe (floyd 147-154) hurt (Mosely at 147-154) to about the same effect .. as (Canelo 154-170) hurting (Mosely 154-160). Remember more weight = less speed. 152 Could do Canelo good for more force behind his punches.

An not sure if I would completely agree with Mosely, but one thing for sure Floyd's power is extremely underrated.

There are different types of power. There is a stinging type of power that faster fighters have(Mayweather, Judah) and then there is just sheer power, fighters with heavy hands(Canelo, Matthysse) There is an interview out there with ODLH where he compares different fighters he's faced and their power.

LMAOO! If Sugar says Floyd hits hard then I believe him. Anyone with objective vision can see Floyd has some pop to his punches. I also think that maybe Canelo doesn't hit as hard as people think either. He can punch, but I don't know if he's in the same league with guys like ADONIS STEVENSON and even MATTHYSE.

coming from the guy that claims pac is the hardest puncher he EVER fought. well pac did knock him down clean with one punch and had him running scared for the rest of the fight....canelo couldn't even score one knockdown against mosley despite all the clean punches he was throwing and landing...

EXACTLY! finally somebody that understands. to say floyd & canelo "hit the same" is a rather crude generalization. canelo has that thudding heavy hands that take its toll with time... but i wouldnt consider him a KO artist at all. floyd on the other hand is a finesse fighter whos power comes from speed and timing. tough comparison. Of course, there's also technique to compound that F=MA equation that Newton neglected to factor in. There's snapping at the shoulders, elbows and wrists. Pacquiao is the only boxer I've seen utilizing the wrists, karate style.

The old saying that the punches that hurt you are the one's you don't see coming, is true. I believe that Mayweather hurts people because of his speed. I'm sure if you measured Canelo and Mayweather on a machine, Canelo would hit harder but Mayweather catches people by surprise. His shots tend to shock you, Canelo seems to have more of a thudding shot. Uh, OK. I"m not even going to consider your "Vitali/Malignaggi" comparison as serious discussion, because it's beyond silly, and not even close to a Mayweather/Canelo comparison. You're essentially saying "I don't need to be hit by Floyd and Canelo to know that Mosley is lying". And I'm essentially saying "Mosley HAS been hit by Floyd and Canelo, and hiis opinion > NSB posters".
