There's always a punchers chance but besides that when you compare resumes/experience, styles, weakenesses and strengths then Garcia has virtually not chance of winning.
And if you go by resume alone Matthysse IS the #1 guy at 140 not Garcia.

Umm yes you receive props for winning fights not based on fantasy. Rigo deserves to be called the best @ 122 AFTER beating Donaire. Ranking fighters based on conjecture is foolish. Whoever wins the Garcia Matthysse fight is the # 1 guy @ 140.
You have a valid point but read the rest of my post and why I think Lucas IS the guy in that division.

I don't think Lucas did. I can be convinced however if................:dunno:
I posted it on the top of page. 4. Maybe u should, IDK..........read the whole thread before u make wise cracks
I'm not really rooting for either guy. Just looking forward to a war. If I absolutely had to pick I would give a slight edge to Danny. Lucas is a damn animal & could clip Danny's chin, but I think Danny will box smart knowing that one mistake could be the only he's allowed to make. Been wrong plenty of times before so we'll see.
:boxing:
i think danny is a good boy. LOL
i think he is a solid talent, but i loathe all the hype he received when other 140lbers accomplished more than him and not get the same hype (maidana, matthysse, bradley, etc.)
then again, al haymon.... what do you expect???
danny hate = al haymon hate????

Not a fan of either guy but I can see people rooting for Garcia just because of all the undeserved hate he's been getting. Some dudes act like he's a total chump who shouldn't be in the top 10.

The way people talk you would think that Lucas is on his way to the HOF. I like what Lucas brings to the table, but I just think that people need to chill on the hype. He needs to prove that he's the best fighter at 140 and then go up to 147 to prove that he's the best there. If he gets past Garcia there will be some challenges for him at WW. It will be interesting to see what transpires with Lucas's career. I'm looking forward to watching him fight in the future.

Really....based on what? List all of Lucas' great wins... Shouldn't he at at least prove he's the king of 140 before people induct him into the HOF?

i don't really hate danny that much (at least not as much as everyone on here), but i will thoroughly enjoy seeing his dad's face after his son loses to matthysse...

Dude is so hyped up that people think he's fighting himself. Lucas might be the most over hyped fighter I've seen since I've been posting here.
