I dont think it was that brutal of a ko... or was manny's.. the danger for fighters is when they take a shot like that, and get up by the 10 count, or in mma's case dont get pounded on the ground.... Both manny's and silva's brain probably swelled but the fight was over... Its dangerous when guys get clocked like bradley vs ruslan, the brain swells but yet they still keep fighting, thats what causes serious long term damage.... Both fights were stopped before any serious damage could be done.... Riddick bowe took huge shots from holyfield and golata and still kept fighting, that caused alot of damage.. on the flip side- lennox lewis got ko'd twice but both times the fight got stopped, he didnt take anymore shots while brain was swollen and was able to retire healthy

I think it does cause Silva was out and still got hit while he was knock out 1 more clean punch on Silva he would be in a morgue today but lucky for him that ref jump in quickly to end the fight before Silva received more punishment
