Easy money for him and will be a big earner for him. Been listening to Adrien Broner talk about it and Floyd seems to bring up them 'not fighting' a lot. Too much for my liking.
I don't know a lot about rap but this seems like it would be a Game/50 Cent type thing and sell **** loads in the process.
I don't think Floyd cares what boxing fans say about his choice of opponents as long as he gets well paid.I read on here about how fighters must do some really big things to earn a fight with Mayweather but it does not seem to be true. He fought Marquez who was the lightweight champion but he had never fought above 135. Mosley was the guy everyone wanted him to fight when he fought Mosley but Ortiz had only his win over average welterweight beltholder Berto when he got the Mayweather fight. Broner has a welterweight title belt so Floyd can fight him anytime and call it a unification fight just like he almost did with Alexander before he agreed to fight Guerrero. Showtime pays him a minimum about 32 million every fight no matter who the opponent is. Mayweather and Broner say they don't want to fight each other. Maybe they are telling the truth. They can both make lots of money fighting other fighters. I think Broner really would be easy work for Floyd if the fight happened now or even in 18 months.
Guerrero was at the top of the sport? Hahaha, that's funny, please remind us, where was Guerrero ranked P4P when he fought Floyd? How about Oritz, where was he P4P in Sept. of 2011 when Floyd fought him?
Guerrero beat some guys that nobody thought he would beat, all the while going up two weight classes. I'm not saying Guerrero was pound for pound but in order for Broner to get the mayweather fight, he's going to have to do the same.
I don't think he can.
I believe it....Whether Broner has a lot to prove or not isn't important to the success of this fight. This fight would sell like hot cakes simply because both fighters know how to sell themselves outside the ring. You throw in the lil bro fighting big bro for the keys to the kingdom dynamic and you get an easy 1+ Million PPVs. Although I do agree to make it a more meaningful fight Broner would need to take out a decent named fighter like Khan, Garcia, or Lucas. They both have 147lb belts so hypothetically if Broner was to fight Alexander and snatch his IBF 147lb and unify the division at the age of 23 or 24 that adds all the legitimacy this fights needs on the boxing level. Casual fans will tune in regardless to see who can out do who in and outside the ring.
Don't think the fight will happen because time is running out for Mayweather. To fight him you have to reach the top of the sport. Guerrero won some fights that most thought he would never win and therefore was given the Mayweather fight.
Broner will have to make a big splash at 147 in order to do that and after his performance vs Paulie, he won't make it.
Broner will have to get past some pretty tough guys to get that fight made, even if that's what he wanted which I honestly don't think he does.

There would have to be a huge falling out for this fight to happen but that's not out of the question when you are talking about Mayweather/Broner. I think they want to preserve Broner's "0" as long as possible so Floyd is out of the question.

Broner talk about it where? youre just speculating that is not "Guaranteed"
Think about it, how many big fights are left for him after Canelo? Broner moved to Showtime too and the same weight class as Floyd.
They will build it up a bit more but it will happen in the next 2 years.
