After watching this fight for a second time, I really got a much better perspective of what happened in that ring.
First of all, Paulie didn't land one clean and effective head shot on Broner. Sure he landed some pitty pat punches and a few decent jabs, but overall he hit glove, elbows and shoulder.
Look at Broner's face in the post fight interview. Not even a scratch.
Look at both fighters body language when the scorecards were being read. Paulie already knew he lost before the verdict was announced. He clapped immediatley when he heard that final scorecard.
He was ready to congrat and give it up to AB before the scorecards were read.
During the fight he iniated all the holding. And everytime he got hit and HURT he started dancing and hotdogging (which fooled a lot of fans). Paulie got dominated and was relagated to hotdogging and holding. His spirit was broken by the end of the fight.
That little BS rant he went on about being robbed was 100% the result of his feelings being hurt by Broner's unsportsmanlike conduct towards him during his post fight interview.
Lastly, Broner was a Super Featherweight just last year. A year later he's dominating one of the Welterweight Champs in their own hometown. Really? And people are doubting this kid? LOL LOL LOL!
I'm a fan of the sport of boxing more than any single fighter. With that said, Broner is a potential SUPERSTAR right along with Danny Garcia and Ginger Alvarez.
I know most of the NSB haters like to sit around and talk about how trash Garcia, Broner and Mayweather are, but guess what; the BEST always get hated on.
Mayweather has already proven himself as one of the best fighters EVER.
Broner and Garcia are the future. I'll have a fun time watching those two clear out the Jr. Welterweight divisions.
Both guys beat the brakes off of Matthyse, Maidana and even Tim Bradley.
Canelo will be back to dominant fashion AFTER he gets taken to school by Lil Floyd.
Broner is the future of the lower weight classes. The only guy I see stopping his rise is potentially Danny Garcia, or if he fights Lil Floyd too early.

Upon reading the title I actually thought the OP would deliver some news of Paulie having a broken bone, but no, it was just a little rant about Broner not getting enough credit.
Broner didn't dominate anything, he got peppered all night and ended up with a split decision.
i was going to agree completely that broner won easy but then you started crying about them not being loved by every single boxing fan. they get hated on because they aren't fighting the best, not because they are the best. as for them destroying matthysse? hmmm garcia wants no part of him and we will wait a bit before labeling broner a floyd mayweather style ducker.
This is exactly what I think. People just saw what they wanted to see. Paulie wasn't hitting a damn thing, everybody was so blinded with hope that they were scoring his misses.
