Team Fury fire back at the Hayemaker
TYSON FURY has reacted angrily to David Haye claiming their heavyweight crunch is off.
Speaking on Facebook and Twitter last night, Haye told fans Fury had refused the offer of a 50-50 split and labelled the unbeaten star a ‘chump’ for turning down the offer to fight at Manchester Arena on September 28 when contracts had been agreed.
But Fury’s uncle Peter, who trains the Mancunian, blasted: “It is a crazy thing he has tweeted. We are ready, David’s team say they are ready, so let’s get it on.
“We are ready to sign and as far as we’re concerned the fight is 100 per cent on from our side.
“We are even willing to fly to London immediately to get the contract signed.
“When we got a call about this fight after Tyson beat Steve Cunningham and I was asked if we were interested, I said ‘We’re above interested. We’ll take the fight’.
“Things haven’t changed from then to where we are now and we have been waiting to sign for around four weeks.”
Haye’s revelation comes out of the blue at a time when a Press conference is being planned for next week to officially announce the domestic dust-up, which will be screened by Sky Sports.
And so advanced are Fury’s plans for the showdown that he has already booked his training base on the Belgium-Holland border.
Peter Fury added: “I have told our promoter Mick Hennessy that this has rambled on long enough.
“All the games must stop and we are totally ready for this.
“We have to see how it pans out, but if Tyson is going to become the world’s best he has to go through people like Haye.”

Conveniently avoids confirming/denying the 80/20 split business
Reading between the lines it sounds like Peter Fury is ready to put the squeeze on Hennessy to sign the fight.
