Few things I noticed...
Paulie's dipping low stunted Broner's offense, Broner would get going and Paulie would do the same thing all the time...either a clinched would happen or Paulie dancing away. It took away Broner's body punching, at times he would work the body, but he couldn't break Paulie down.
Remember guys like Spinks did that stuff.....
Broner doesn't have to worry about facing someone like that again.
Props to Paulie for being crafty in there...
Let's see how Broner does in his next fight with a puncher....
I doubt maidana beats broner..hes too slow..I think someone like khan or judah..could beat broner...with fast hast with a little pop...I don't know if it was paulies chin or moving up in weight that effected power...but he sure ddnt look heavy handed
I'm not sure Judah throws enough. He's quite static himself at times. Maidana would get beat imo. Khan is almost perfect for beating Broner stylistically, it's just the question-mark over the chin.

From what I've seen from Broner,I'd pick Vargas Khan(if he's chin is up to it)Matt's Thurman and Abregu Bradley to all beat Broner..I can't call Maidana,he is too flat footed..Broner has other skills(his footwork)the fighter to beat him has to have other skills as well..

The problem with Broner is that he's tightly wound. Any fighter has decent power and decent speed at 147 or 140 will give him problem. I'm speaking mainly of the top 5 contenders/champions in either weight class. Consistent pressure would force Broner to fight in a style he's not good at. Long pressure fight would give him problems in the later rounds. Another thing is that he muscles/pushes his punches rather than snap his punches. Rarely do you see him get full extension on his punches...that won't work in a long grueling fight. He's no where near a good example of Philly Shell fighters like Mayweather or James Toney. I'm not impressed at all with Broner and I believe that if he doesn't reinvent himself he won't last long as a premier championship level fighter.
matthysse or maidana intensity and work rate would put broner in trouble. but that would also open up them up for broners counterpunches.
broner has one of the best uppercuts in the game right now.
khan, matthyse maidana would be a legit challenge for the problem.
Khan would be an interesting fight for however long Khan lasts until he gets caught with flush counters most likely before the 7th round.
Hard to judge a fight between the Argentines because I'm still not quite sure how strong Broner is at 147 or how his chin is against those who can pop.
This might come strange, but Broner will have it easier with others than he did with Paulie. Look at the styles and people need to quit it with "Paulie was tagging Broner all night" You act like Broner wasn't walking towards Paulie with no respect for his power.

I rewatched it as well, and I am even more convinced that Maidana is going to stop him. Paulie tagged up his body easily throughout the fight, shots that will tax Broner significantly every time Maidana goes to the body. Broner will also eat that jab from Maidana all night since he lacks the footwork and mobility to escape. If only Paulie had hands of stone like Duran, that fight would have gone muich differently.
The jab of Paulie kept Broner off balance.
I don't know about all this stuff of Maidana beating Broner.
First, Maidana is slow, he walks to you, and an easy target...AND he doesn't like it to the body.
We will get answers if Broner fights a guy like that, no need to jump to conclusions on his career just yet.
