Personally I thought it was mad real but do you think it will jeopardise his career as a commentator??
TV networks don't like guys who make outbursts about rich and powerful people
I have never been a fan of Paulie, and I guess I'm still not. But he has made me root for him during this build-up, and I loved what he said in the post fight interview. Everyone that keeps it real will get kudos from me.
I dislike Haymon, and I HATE the twins.
In my opinion i thought he out husssled broner with activity. Broner landed harder shots but they were too few in between. And showtime announcers were very pro Broner for some reason. They should have been for neutral considering he works with them. And Hopkins did what Jones did in the Bradley fight. Paulie spoke the truth.
Some may not agree but what was said/implied is considerably different than what is being interpreted at this moment. People are talking as if he claimed the fight was fixed and really I never got that impression at the time of the comments or after he clarified.
He was speaking to the politics of boxing. Which is alive and well. Really it's one of the biggest aspects of boxing that holds it back from being accepted as a mainstream sport (along with other reasons) and probably the biggest unspoken black eye within the sport itself.
Hence the biting the hand that feeds you comment.
Now we can debate how synonymous political influence and "fixed" are. But I see political influence just a bit south of fight fixing. But a huge a problem nonetheless.
Who was the third guy? I heard B-Hop speak some time during the fight but can't remember when
Kenny, Bernstein and Hopkins. I believe Ranalo joined them afterwards for the post fight banter.
You didn't notice him much because he wasn't commentating AT ALL.

Only thing I saw wrong that night was the judge that had it for Malignaggi, that was insane. Malignaggi knew he clearly lost and I think Broner was disrespectful because Malignaggi tried to act like he could have gotten it.
I like B-Hop, he's one of my favourite fighters but Paulie is 10x better at him than commentating. Also B-Hop I feel that he'd always root for the black guy when he's commentating. I didn't really notice him much either

He was right. He's the only fighter speaking on this.
If Showtime fire him, he will have an offer right away from HBO!
BHOP didn't do a good job last night, Pauli is 10x better.

I wouldnt be surprised if pauli got axed from showtime.... He was right about what he said.... But the network isnt going to like someone who they pay, say that boxing is fixed, especially since showtime has made huge investments in boxing over the past year...
But honestly looking at the scorecards, they didnt seem to be corrupt. They all had pauli winning early and broner taking over midway with his power... Tom Shreck had broner winning every round from the 5th on which basically gave broner every close round at the end... My personal scorecard was 116-112 broner...

He was saying it how it is. He shouldn't be reprimanded for it.
