Why wasn't Broner deducted points for kicking Paulie in the balls?

Is attempting to hit your opponent while your back is turned illegal too? I've never seen that attempted before tonight either. I remember Joe Calzaghe lost a point immediately for throwing a punch behind is back against Jeff Lacy.

If Malignaggi was wrapped around his kness he wouldn't have been able to kick him in the nuts. Paulie did have the legs, but Broner didn't have to all that **** he did to keep his balance. Should have had something deducted for all the nonsense that went on.

Grabbing behind the leg is what happens when you get pushed down and cant grab behind the back. Its technically a foul, but it was an unintentional one that was the result of Broner pulling him down. Broners foul was intentional. He didn't accidentally kick his leg into Paulies groin. He wasn't stumbling off balance trying to regain his footing, he just straight up decided to play dirty with it, and he got away with it. He probably should have been DQed for the stunt, at the very least he should have been deducted 2 points for unsportsmanlike conduct. you are not seeing things clearly if that's what you believe happened in this case. it is clear as day that maglinaggi is not using broner's body to keep from being pushed down. he gets behind both knees and drives forward with many steps. that's not an act designed to keep from being pushed to the ground. maglinaggi has clinched around the waist and sometimes lower in many fights. when he's close he gets low. he always has. if it's really neccessary i can waste part of my sunday finding them, but i'd prefer it if you remember the khan and hatton fights.

Even though I don't think he hurt Paulie with that kick, it was a blatant foul. When someone kicks or knees or a blatantly uses his elbow they should get an automatic deduction. There should be no warning, it not like a punch that stays down low. You can accidentally headbutt someone or hit them low, there is no accidentally kicking someone in boxing. Esteves must be in uncle Al's pocket too. We know Haymon has some deep pockets.

Lifting your leg is fine. Its the dramatic straightening of said leg and the reaction of everyone involved that lets you know how incidental the contact was. Broner is like "But I iz with Haymon!!!" CMON IZ A HAYMON FIGHTA!!!" Paulie goes to the corner and crouches down like "OWWW HE JUST KICKED ME IN THE NUTS!".
